F1 Rejects Forum Ratings - R16 Korea

Post by Dan B »

I think you guys know what to do. :geek:

Sebastian Vettel: 9: Let's face it; noone could touch him today. In clear command the whole day.
Mark Webber: 7: Loses a few points for not getting a good start; I mean sure it was good compared to his other starts, but Vettel had a better start.
Red Bull: 9: More dominance from this team.

Jenson Button: N/A: Taken out too early, and not on his own accord either.
Lewis Hamilton: 5: Formless; gets points for collecting astro turf but that's it.
McLaren: 5: A day to forget

Fernando Alonso: 7: He was quick but not quick enough to catch the Red Bulls.
Felipe Massa: 8: I think he would've easily dusted Alonso if the championship were not at stake. That said, a good race for him.
Ferrari: 6: Their car needs to be quicker; unfortunately, the time has run out, so they need some help from Lady Luck to get Fernando back in the championship lead.

Nico Rosberg: N/A: See Button.
Michael Shumacher: 5: Anonymous.
Mercedes: 5: Remember when Rosberg won in China? Yeah, me neither.

Kimi Raikkonen: 6: Aside from the scrap with Hamilton I didn't see much of him.
Romain Grosjean: 7: Kept his nose clean, which he desperately needed to do.
Renault: 6: A rather average outing, but for Grosjean that's what he needed.

Nico Hulkenberg: 8: Glorious driving to get into 6th.
Paul di Resta: 5: Anonymous driving to get into 12th.
Force India: 7: The team is troubled with Mallya's arrest warrant being made so any good result will help them. It's too bad because they're probably my favorite team at the moment.

Jean-Eric Vergne: 7: Surprised me, that's for sure.
Daniel Ricciardo: 8: Surprised me even more considering he had that gearbox penalty.
Scuderia Toro Rosso: 7: They need more results like this.

Sergio Perez: 4: A race to forget, and the 1 stop strategy did not work at this track.
Kamui Kobayashi: 1: Stupid move caused by overdriving. Seriously, what in the hell was that?!
Sauber: 3: Hopefully India will be better, because this showing was laughable at best.

Pastor Maldonado: 5: Anonymous.
Bruno Senna: 4: Wait he was racing today?
Williams: 5: Nick Heidfeld is more exciting.

Heikki Kovalainen: 5: He was here, right?
Vitaly Petrov: 5: See above.
Caterham: 5: See Williams

Pedro De La Rosa: N/A: The car failed him; not much he could do about that.
Narain Karthikeyan: 5: He didn't crash it, so that must be worth something.
HRT: 5: Not their best result but they did get a car to finish.

Timo Glock: 5: Did his job.
Charles Pic: 5: Also did his job.
Marussia: 5: Rather average outing for the team.

Sebastian Vettel
Q: 9 | R: 10 | Average: 9.5->10 | F1R: 10
He's well and truly on top of the world again. I think he's done enough to oust Alonso not just from the top of the championship, but also from the unofficial position of 'best driver on the grid'. Best Driver

Mark Webber
Q: 10 | R: 7.5 | Average: 8.75->9 | F1R: 9
Could've done better on race day, but alas, he kept Alonso and Massa at bay. That's all that matters.

Jenson Button
Q: 6 | R: N/A | Average: 6 | F1R: 7
Looks like Kamui's new job is to make sure Jenson loses as many points as possible.

Lewis Hamilton
Q: 9 | R: 7 | Average: 8 | F1R: 8
Very unfortunate with the suspension failure, but he really shouldn't have wasted his time (and his tyres) defending against Raikkonen.

Fernando Alonso
Q: 9 | R: 6 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 7
Either Massa is better than he was in 2008 or Alonso is no longer the best driver on the grid. I think the latter is closer to the truth. He's lucky that Ferrari are supporting him.

Felipe Massa
Q: 7 | R: 10 | Average: 8.5->9 | F1R: 10
I don't have to say it, do I? Better pace than Alonso, better pace than Webber, matching Vettel's pace. The team orders cost him P2 today. He has scored more points than Alonso in the last 4 races. That should raise some alarms down at Ferrari.

Michael Schumacher
Q: 8 | R: 7 | Average: 7.5->8 | F1R: 7
Shitboxus supremus.

Nico Rosberg
Q: 8 | R: N/A | Average: 8 | F1R: 7
Shitboxus supremus. Unfortunate with the first lap incident.

Kimi Raikkonen
Q: 8 | R: 8 | Average: 8 | F1R: 8
His "care about other drivers" sort of driving can be described in 3 words: hit or miss. Definitely a miss here. He really should not have lost any time at all with Hamilton.

Romain Grosjean
Q: 7 | R: 7 | Average: 7 | F1R: 7
Should've done a better job with Hulkenberg, but at least he didn't crash into anyone.

Paul di Resta
Q: 7 | R: 5 | Average: 6 | F1R: 5
Can anyone be more anonymous than this?

Nico Hulkenberg
Q: 8 | R: 9 | Average: 8.5->9 | F1R: 9
That pass was beautiful, but excitement isn't everything in F1.

Kamui Kobayashi
Q: 6 | R: 1 | Average: 3.5->4 | F1R: 1
Oops. Worst Driver

Sergio Perez
Q: 7 | R: 1 | Average: 4 | F1R: 2
Even with his oh-so-beloved "Prime->Option from outside the top 10" strategy, he couldn't even beat a car that's been failing since the first third of the race, driven by a guy that not only roasted his tyres on an open, polluted fire, prompting the team to go with plan ZZZZZ, but who also picked up a shiny green cape along the way. Absolute disaster. Would've been demolished by Kobayashi. I'm not just going to agree with Will Buxton. No, I'm going to take it even further than that. McLaren have made a huge mistake by signing him.

Daniel Ricciardo
Q: 7 | R: 10 | Average: 8.5->9 | F1R: 9
Near-flawless race. The brakes failure and his teammate holding him up screwed him over, sadly.

Jean-Eric Vergne
Q: 7 | R: 9 | Average: 8 | F1R: 9
Was up there as well.

Pastor Maldonado
Q: 7 | R: 6 | Average: 6.5->7 | F1R: 6
Did well to hold off Senna at the end, but he really should've driven better.

Bruno Senna
Q: 5.5 | R: 7.5 | Average: 6.5->7 | F1R: 6
Seemed to have pace for once.

Heikki Kovalainen
Q: 6.5 | R: 4 | Average: 5.25->5 | F1R: 5
How can you let yourself get beaten by Vitaly Petrov by 10 seconds and still expect the team to think that they need you more than you need them?

Vitaly Petrov
Q: 7.5 | R: 7 | Average: 7.25->7 | F1R: 7
Did well to beat Kovalainen again.

Pedro de la Rosa
Q: 6 | R: 7 | Average: 6.5->7 | F1R: 7
Was beating his teammate again until the car failed.

Narain Karthikeyan
Q: N/A | R: 5 | Average: 5 | F1R: 5
Stayed out of trouble, but really, 80 seconds behind Pic?...

Timo Glock
Q: 7 | R: 7 | Average: 7 | F1R: 7
Anonymous.

Charles Pic
Q: 7.5 | R: 6 | Average: 6.75->7 | F1R: 7
Even more anonymous. Did well to outqualify Glock though.

Vettel - 9 - Untouchable once again, unfortuantly.
Webber - 6 - S'alright I suppose.

Button - 5 - Wiped out by Kamikaze Kamui at the start. May have scored a few points.
Hamilton - 4 - The car fell apart, passed by all and sundry, and to add insult to injury, the astroturf incident.

Alonso - 7 - DId the best he could
Massa - 9 - Any lingering doubts that Massa will be at Ferrari next season have just been removed.

Rosberg - 4 - Wiped out by Kamikaze Kamui.
Schumacher - 4 - Race was dictated by his shitbox Merc.

Raikkonen - 8 - Quiet morning for him
Grosjean - 7 - Good battle with Hulkenberg.

Di Resta - 4 - Was he in this race?
Hulkenberg - 9 - Superb double pass on Grosjean and Ramilton. I'm left with no doubts who's the better Force India driver now.

Kobayashi - 1- There was no need to do that at the start. What a bathplug idiot.
Perez - 4 - Poor, just poor.

Ricciardo - 9 - Fantastic performance.
Vergne - 9 - Did a superb job to keep Hamilton behind him

Maldonado - 5 - He was in this race?
Senna - 4 - He was in this race?

Kovalainen - 5 - Meh
Petrov - 6 - Beat his team mate home.

De La Rosa - 6 - Decent enough until the throttle pedal fell apart.
Karthikeyan - 3 - Nearly a minute and a half behind the next car...

Glock - 5 - Bah
Pic - 5 - Bah

My ratings:

Drivers
Vettel - 10 -> Untouchable on race day. Who cares if he lost pole position to Webber.
Webber - 6 -> He stole the pole position. And, erm, finished a clear second to Vettel after yet another subpar start.

Button - 4 -> A weekend to forget. Q2 elimination and first lap collision (not his fault).
Hamilton - 4 -> Excellent 3rd on the grid, but the race was a different story. The car simply was a shocker.

Alonso - 9 -> Finishing 3rd and pressuring Webber for 2nd was the best he could do.
Massa - 9 -> Excellent race. I wonder if he could have even passed Alonso...

Schumacher - 3 -> Lamentable, but so was Mercedes.
Rosberg - 2 -> One has to wonder if his race ended on the first lap was actually a blessing in disguise.

Räikkönen - 7 -> Steady, as usual.
Grosjean - 6 -> Steady, unusually.

di Resta - 4 -> Very underwhelming.
Hülkenberg - 9 -> Very impressive. That double overtake on Schumacher and Grosjean was quality.

Kobayashi - 3 -> He triggered a first lap collision that took out a McLaren and a Mercedes, then trundled around a bit until the team decides to call his race quits.
Pérez - 4 -> Poor race.

Ricciardo - 8 -> Great pace.
Vergne - 9 -> He went one better than Ricciardo.

Maldonado - 5 -> Steady, but the car was shanner today.
Senna - 5 -> Same can be said of him, but he finished behind Pastor.

Kovalainen - 5 -> Anonymous. Finished behind Petrov.
Petrov - 6 -> Bonus point for beating Heikki.

de la Rosa - 6 -> Was doing a great job staving off Pic, until his car failed.
Karthikeyan - 4 -> Standard mediocre procedures of always.

Glock - 5 -> He did the usual job.
Pic - 4 -> Not good to be beaten by a HRT.

Teams
Red Bull - 10 -> They are the team to beat, again. One can hardly figure they won't be taking both titles for the third year running.

McLaren - 1 -> Terrible performance. One has to wonder whether Button would have been in a better position than Hamilton if he managed to actually race.

Ferrari - 8 -> They are a factor in the race, but Red Bull still have the upper hand.

Mercedes - 2 -> The less is said about them, the better. I can only assume the team did their best to sign Hamilton so the team could run for one more year at least...

Lotus - 6 -> Nothing great. They managed to score decent points.

Force India - 7 -> They had a great run... with one car, at least.

Sauber - 3 -> It wasn't their day. They lacked pace and Kobayashi caused a collision.

Toro Rosso - 9 -> Excellent race with both cars in the points despite starting last of the Q2 runners. They have managed to improve the car considerably.

Williams - 1 -> Just like Mercedes, they have fallen off the face of the Earth, and just when Maldonado is cleaning up his act. Anonymous race, they finished last of the established teams.

Caterham - 5 -> As usual.

HRT - 4 -> As usual.

Marussia - 5 -> As usual.

Vettel - 9 - The title is his provided he doesn't throw it away.
Webber - 7 - There's a reason you're a #2, Mark.

Button - 6 - When you qualify in the midfield, you start back with all the crap drivers.
Hamilton - 4 - Button might have beaten Toro Rosso.

Alonso - 8 - Did the best he could.
Massa - 9 - Would have beaten Fernando if Ferrari allowed them to race each other.

Schumacher - 4 - Was he in the field?
Rosberg - 4 - See what I said about Button.

Räikkönen - 6 - Yawn.
Grosjean - 6 - Might have done better if he didn't have everyone wanting his head after Japan.

Di Resta - 4 - Being overrated is the Hulk's job.
Hülkenberg - 9 - Thought he and Di Resta swapped helmets...

Kobayashi - 0 - If he's not in F1 next year I won't be surprised. What a moron!
Pérez - 8 - Did a reasonably good job even though Sauber screwed him.

Ricciardo - 7 - Toro Rosso works real well at Korea, so I'm not entirely surprised they ran well.
Vergne - 7 - He's just there.

Maldolan - 6 - I think he's disgusted with how shite Williams is and just wants this year to be over already.
Senna - 4 - Just leave already.

Kovalainen - 4 - Does he care?
Petrov - 8 - I know he does!

De la Rosa - 5 - Best job he could do.
Karthikeyan - 2 - Ditto.

Glock - 5 - Couldn't be bothered.
Pic - 5 - Neither could he.
