Aimée Gauthier (born January 17th 2001) granddaughter of former Formula 1 driver and team boss Guillaume Gauthier, is looking for a seat in the F1RDS after some very impressive results in karts.

She can drive for Autoroute, as I still need a second driver.

Just on a side note, start having a think about what liveries you'd like as well. I know we've got a while yet, but it'll be nice to have everything together. I would imagine a few liveries will be partially based on whatever you rebadge your engines as and also driver sponsorship so there's no rush. I felt I should just say that now.

I think DMR will have a lighter blue for its livery this season. :)

I'd also like to remind people that the second DMR seat is still avaliable, with Laura Wener now off to the F3RWRS.

I'd like to rebadge my engines as Peugeots and run a dark blue livery with some white, like Peugeot's liveries in Le Mans.

The OYD Livery: white-red-black with mainly Kinder and Nutella sponsoring. Perhaps something like the Super Aguri SA08
Minor sponsoring from Octan and Festivalblog.be (their logo is this http://www.google.be/imgres?um=1&hl=nl& ... ,s:0,i:129).
To make the link to F3RWRS and F2RWRS, engines will be re-badged as Zastava here too.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

Yes this is okay.

As for the 2016 livery for Alitalia - no change. Continue with the 2015 one please.

For the livery, just remove the Renault logo from Mecha's car. The second seat is still open - else I'd put Frenchman Roger Almair there. :)

Don't forget to rebadge if you want to, chaps. I'll also try and see if I can find somewhere where everyone can vote for where the Winter Cup is held...or something. Or we could do it via PM if I can't find anything.

A while back, I made some flashy grid screens for a competition on another site. I found them earlier and changed the font to make them more F1-style. Here's an example if I choose to use them; note the numbers wouldn't actually be the car numbers, but I just wanted to use them as an exhibition.

Image

Because the nameplates are currently in a .psd format, I can try to convert them to a transparent file format (PNG, if it works with WLMM) and perhaps overlay them if I ever do a video highlights thing...

Looks really nice!

And BTW the engine name should be simply Volkswagen, it is merely their Finnish branch that is sponsoring us. :)

I agree - if anything, they're too good for a GP2 highlights video!

And Plus One wish to remind all those teams with a seat open that Angel Jose Castaneda is interested in any seat. Literally. Any.

Rosenforth Engineering today confirmed their second driver for the 2016 F1RDS season, Samoan driver Iakopo Fuamatu. Fuamatu was born in Apia, Samoa, but spent most of his younger years in New Zealand, in Auckland. In 2015 he competed in the Toyota Racing Series for M2 Competition, including victory in the New Zealand Grand Prix in February, as well as the Australian Formula Ford Championship, with a few race victories. Fuamatu has become part of John Zimmer's driver development program, which involves racing in the F1RDS this season as an evaluation of his abilities.

In a not-unexpected move, Manchester-based RDS squad Definitely Maybe Racing have announced the signing of Angel Jose Castaneda as a replacement for the outgoing Laura Wener. The Peruvian driver, 17, will partner Jari Lappalainen in the second car. Team manager Liam McGuigan said:

"Angel is a fantastic addition to our team. He brings an energy to the team, as well as experience. Both my drivers have podiums under their belts already, and we're gearing up for another great season, which should hopefully see Angel and Jari build on the foundations laid by Jerry (De Boer) and Laura, giving them the best launch for their careers."

Mr McGuigan also confirmed that DMR would simply rebadge their engines as 'Ford Cosworth', in a homage to the legendary DFV power unit.
