1979 rFactor F1 - Please go to 1980 thread

Post by pasta_maldonado »

Yes, that's right folks, the F1 Rejects Grand Prix 79 Championship has arrived! A few of you expressed interest in this series in the FORCWSOGMM Thread, and called dibs on a few teams, so their names are next to the team with a question mark. Confirmed team owners are in bold. The series will be run using rFactor, and all the teams of the 1979 championship, except Kauhsen.

After the teams are sorted, polling for the calendar wil begin.

To enter the F1RGP79C, just state what team you would like, if you would like it renamed, how many cars you will be entering (1 or 2) and your drivers. Any team can have two cars in this series, even teams who only entered 1 in 1979. The drivers can be fictional or real. People can post their own drivers for you to use. or you can create/use your own. It's up to you! Feel free to post any sort of biography and information you want for your fictional drivers!

Sorry about that. It seems the mod makers deemed them forgettable ( :( ) and didn't include thhem. Yes, you may take Ligier. Who are your drivers shinji?

eurobrun, Phoenix has called dibs on Williams, you can either wait and see if he decides to take it or claim another team

Ferrarist, ATS is all yours!

Harvey Jones is interested in a seat at either Williams, Tyrrell or Lotus please!

If I need to control a team as well I will, but I'd prefer to just enter the driver for now if that's okay.

Jacques Laffite, and, in a break with common Ligier practice, the decidedly non-French Edward Kevin, a young Irishman.

I'm going to take Tyrrell. :)

And if I can enter a driver now, put Hiroshi Takagi (father of Kazuhiko and Tetsuya, [future] racing drivers, so Japanese) in the Tyrrell.

Seeing as Alfa are already taken, I will pick Merzario instead.

Arturo Merzario has decided to take a step down from driving duties to focus on running the team more professionally, therefore taking his place will be promising Italian youngsters Elio de Angelis and Simone Guidetti (changed my mind when I saw we could pick real drivers)

Oh, I figured from the thread that you'd already settled on the A2. A2 it is.

As for drivers, I'll go with Patrese (unless he's already been taken) and the oh-so-lovely rookie Kieran Sutherland.

German Pierre Depault, son of JLD team owner Jean-Louis Depault will race for the ATS team. Hell, JLD will like to become the title sponsor/partner of the ATS team should Ferrarist allow it.
