090908 Eurogian GP Edition

Post by Kuwashima »

G'day all,

Hope you are well. The latest edition is online - featuring a long and painful evaluation of the Luca Badoer experiment, our thoughts on the latest news (as of Sunday night our time anyway), the ghost of Piquet-past haunting Briatore, and last but not least - discussion of Valencia and Spa.

Enjoy... No, really, please enjoy, because if you hate it, I will be sad.

Cheers,
Jamie

Great podcast guys.

Thanks for publicising the truth about Capricorn 1.

Fantastic! Got it just in time for my commute back home. Will listen to it again tomorrow morning! As luck it would have it, it is just about as long as my commute.

Nice one, chaps :)

Oh, and Eddy Wally is Belgian ;) It really was quite surprising to hear that on a podcast recorded on the other side of the planet!

Brilliant podcast! I am slightly nervous that you two might be being shadowed by some FIA hit men. Also, every time you say ROMAIN GROSJEAN I crack up.

Awesome Podcast! I was laughing so much. But what was true was the fact about Piquia jr in Sinapore 2008 crashing out and helping Alonso win. Enoch knows all

Re Raikkonen at Spa - not only did he gain an advantage at La Source by using the run off area, he also caused the safety car which allowed him to pass Fisi and win the race. He wend wide in the middle of Les Combes and rejoined in front of Heidfeld, causing the rest of the field to bunch, which arguably caused all the trouble further back...
"will you stop him playing tennis then?", referring to Montoya's famous shoulder injury, to which Whitmarsh replied "well, it's very difficult to play tennis on a motorbike"

RRRRMMMNNNN GRRRJJJJNNNN

It's almost like SOOPA AGURI.

Good podcast, Kuwashima and eytl. Wish you'd have used the GMIF1P clip I sent in because I think it could have made a decent talking point.

Great episode gents, thanks for making the commute more bearable.

And thank you for making me aware of the Capricorn1 conspiracy! Finally all the pieces are falling into place, all the little inconsistencies and strange events that have bothered me over the last few years of F1 start to gel into a coherent pattern.

Or my cold medicine is making me hallucinate...

And there was much rejoicing in the land when a new podcast was discovered in the F1Rejects category of my ipod! So, early to bed, take up the knitting and I spent an enjoyable hour chortling.

Thank you thank you thank you.... :D

RRRRMMMNNNN GRRRJJJJNNNN sounds much more aggressive than SOOPA AGURI.

Also, on a side note, "Grosjean" can also be interpreted as, if we ignore spelling, as "big people". -Jean-, "gens" (identical pronunciation) , is French for "people" as in a group of people.

- They are people from Melbourne. Ils sont des GENS de Melbourne.
- People survived ANTSMSW5PG. GENS ont survécu ANTSMSW5PG

This is now my favourite podcast (superseding the Melbourne hat-trick)!

Very rarely do you get such a strong correlation between normal Formula 1 news and reject drivers and teams. No doubt the Luca Badoer story will go down in reject folklore, making this podcast an insant classic.

Well done guys. Kuwashima you seemed to be particularly pumped up this time around!

I AM STARTING A NEW CAMPAIGN!!!!!!!!

To find an Australian named "Chad Hurley", and have him join the F1Rejects Facebook group! If you'd like to help me out, send him a message thru the facebook search.

This news was just what I needed to make me smile again.

By the way, great Luca Badoer podcast. It was very funny and the timing with which I listened to it made it even funnier (I got round to it on Tuesday, straight after installing a "Fisico to Ferrari" wallpaper on my PDA...)

I have finally got off my backside and registered for this forum. I LOVE the website, and since June have started downloading the podcasts.

Great work with the pod-casts guys, oh, and is it normal to have to cover my face with my newspaper when listening on the train to hide my constant laughter?

Yep! As Eddy is as Belgian as beer, waffles, Manneke Pis or Brussel sprouts ;)

BTW, this is the unauthorized translation of Wally's -ahum- masterpiece :

Valencia
Where the oranges grow in the burning hot sun
Valencia
Where the red roses flower at the edge of your balcony

Valencia
Where lovers dream next to a glass of red wine
Valencia
Would like to be the most beautiful Spanish town again

Immediately you feel the glow of the senoritas
Of those dark eyes, the fiery Spanish blood
You are lost immediately
You feel reborn
Your heart sings a song full of amore
Life is that good

Valencia
Where the oranges grow in the burning hot sun
Valencia
Where the red roses flower at the edge of your balcony

Valencia
Where lovers dream next to a glass of red wine
Valencia
Would like to be the most beautiful Spanish town again

In my thoughts I see those images clearly in my mind
And full of melancholy I think how beautiful it was there
I’d still like to come there
And wander under your trees
Valencia city of my dreams
With you life is a feast

Valencia
Where the oranges grow in the burning hot sun
Valencia
Where the red roses flower at the edge of your balcony

Valencia
Where lovers dream next to a glass of red wine
Valencia
Would like to be the most beautiful Spanish town again

Valencia
Lalalala.....

Valencia
Lalalala.....

Valencia
Waar de sinaasappelen groeien in de gloeiend hete zon
Valencia
