Still a bad idea though - there's really only one entrance and exit to a roundabout when you're racing. Any attempt at an overtake will be... messy.

No one complains about the Grand Hotel hairpin....

Yeah, but the entrance to that isn't as pronounced as most other roundabouts.

Ste Devote used to be a small roundabout before it got paved over during the track renovations and most of the drivers managed to get around there fine... most of the time.

It's certainly not a bad idea. You've cleary identified roads that have potential; now it's just a case of making the bits that connect them together interesting. Here's a few, straight off the top of my head, that I think would work in Durban:

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5683103

And that's just off the top of my head.

Bernie will inevitably lose his patience with Melbourne, and take away the Australian Grand Prix. And because Barry O'Farrell is only capable of making policy based on doing exactly the opposite of what works or is a good idea, Sydney will get the Grand Prix. With that in mind, here is a proposed route that is expensive, unrealistic, too long, and inconveniences most of the eastern suburbs:

The Seattle Circuit from the Gran Turismo games. Unfortunately, a parking garage now exists where the chicane by the Seahawks statium is. So I compensated by putting a chicane just after it.

You mean top the a1 ring because what I did is use as much of the original track as possible and make it how Prost wanted it just a bit wider with some more run off space

The osterreichring was renound for being a fast flowing track and the turbo cars took the SLOWEST corners in 4th gear + Alan prost said that all tracks should be changed but the osterreichring should not just add run off + in 1986 the cars were approaching boschkurve at 200 mph need I say more

So what? The old 8 mile Spa circuit was fast and flowing, but I'd take the modern version any day. Same thing here.

Very good the main part of the circuit is old beggarwood lane because it is Basingstokes answer to the esses at suzuka. I actually live in a different part of Basingstoke which is possibly the most rejectful town in Britain

My location says otherwise. Lowestoft has about 50,000 sets of traffic lights, a harbour bridge that goes up at least 10 times a day on the main road through town, no music shops and the place is chock-a-block full of chavs. A relief road was built through the southern part of town a couple of years back, and they routed it to the EXACT same point where the old main road reached the harbour bridge. Now there's always massive traffic jams.

It would make for a ridiculously hilarious circuit mind you.

Two level crossings on that circuit. I think the only 'circuit' to cross railway lines was the Oporto track used for the first few Portguese Grands Prix in the late 1950s, but I could be wrong...
