Alternate Seasons

Post by andreamodawf1 »

This was mentioned on one of the podcasts of what will happen if the world champ goes to the team that comes last(if they are going to race in the next season), the runner up goes to 2nd worst team, 3rd place driver goes to 3rd worst team and 4th best goes to the 4th worst team. The last placed drver goes to best team, 2nd worst goes to 2nd best team, 3rd worst driver goes to 3rd best team and 4th worst driver goes to 4th best team.I've basically just switched the drivers names around, because this is a hard thing to write about.
end of 1995

1. michael schumacher-off to Forti.
2. damon hill-off to Minardi
3. david coulthard-off to Tyrrell.
4. johnny herbert-off to Arrows.

35th and last. Giovanni Lavagi-off to Benetton
34. Jean-Denis Deletraz-off to Williams
33. Gabriele Tarquini-off to Ferrrari
32. Roberto Moreno-off to McLaren

So for 1996, Benetton will have Jean Alesi and Lavaggi with Gerhard Berger being test driver. Williams-Jacques Villeneuve and Jean-Denis Deletraz. Deletraz states he'll start to improve and won't make silly mistakes again. Test driver is Jean-Christophe Boullion. Ferrari have Gabriele Tarquini and Eddie Irvine, test driver is Nicola Larini. McLaren have Roberto Moreno and Mika Hakkinen, test driver Jan Magunssen. Sauber has Norberto Fontana racing because Johnny Herbert moved to Arrows instead. Forti has Schumacher and Luca Badoer. Minardi has Damon Hill and Giancarlo Fisichella. Tyrrell has Coulthard and Ukyo Katayama, and Arrows (footwork) has Herbert and Riccardo Rosset.

Overall championship:

24. best result: 2 retirements-Tarso Marques-off to Williams for 1997
23. best result 10th place-Michael Schumacher-off to Ferrari (he's lucky)
22. best result 10th place-Jarno Trulli, who got called in for Minardi-off to Benetton
21. best result 10th place-Luca Badoer-off to McLaren.

4. 4 2nds, 4 3rds-Jean ALesi-off to Sauber.
3. 3 wins-Gabriele Tarquini (he wishes)-off to Tyrrell
2. 4 wins-Jacques Villeneuve-off to Arrows.
1. 8 wins-Jean-Denis Deletraz (well, he's not as bad as we thought)-off to Minardi.

Next, I will do one on the 1997 season.

You should keep these in the same thread to prevent the forum from being cluttered up. Nevertheless I think this is a pretty decent idea, though I don't think some of your results would've actually happened had this system been in place.

Even with their drives for better or teams, I don' think the Pacific rejects could have managed to be that great in the championship. It would have been teams like Jordan, midfield teams with midfield drivers, who would have won the championship, with Schumacher and Hill in Fortis and Minardis fighting it out with Deletraz and Lavaggi in Ferraris and Williamses.

Good idea though.
Better than 'Tour in a suit case' Takagi.

Yeah, I just switched the names around so it was still Hill's championship, which he won 8 races, but with Deletraz's name. In reality, Deletraz probably would have driven the wrong way or something stupid, and Michael Schumacher might have managed to save Forti, and probably have given them some points. But the Williamses were so far ahead them, so Deletraz would have won by technology.

PS, Shinji Nakano is a cool driver.

Yeah, your right, but it's still fun to make these, though.

Overall Championship:

24. Gaston Mazzacane, who replaced Badoer for one race, and retired-off to Ferrari.
23. best result 8th-Luca Badoer-off to McLaren
22. best result 8th-Ricardo Zonta-off to Jordan

Wizzie, some of the unfamiliar names are test drivers that never got to race in F1. Because the good teams like Ferrari had both their drivers going to lower teams because they finished in the top 4, I used test driver names. And watka, I'll fix my mistake

Jonathan Cochet was a Renault test driver and A1 Team France driver for 2 races in 2007-08. He never got in the top 6, making him an "A1 Reject". Patrick Lemarie was a BAr test driver and a CART driver in 2003. He never finished in the top 6, making him a "CART Reject".
