Alternative F1 1992 Season Championship

Post by SuperAguri »

The World Motorsports Council (WMSC) have today found serious breaches in the sporting code in the 1992 Formula One season. The teams Canon Williams Team, Honda Marlboro McLaren, Camel Benetton Ford and Scuderia Ferrari have been found guilty of colluding to stop the midfield and minor teams from ever scoring a podium.

In light of the serous nature of the offence, we have decided to strip the teams and drivers of the teams Nigel Mansell, Ricardo Patrese, Ayrton Senna, Gerhard Berger, Michael Schumacher, Martin Brundle, Jean Alesi, Ivan Capeli and Nicola Larini of all points and podiums. We also will retrospectively reward the podiums and points in accordance to race finishes. However no additional prize money will be awarded as the majority of the teams below no longer exist. However, Force India who were Jordan in the 1992 season will get a one off payment of $1,000.

We published the revised 1992 season classifactions below.

It was the first season I followed from start to finish. Now, you've ruined my childhood memories!

That's actually very funny. What was Hakkinen racing back then? Lotus, right? And look at Minardi, our very own STR, in 6th or so!
Stay home, Colin Kolles!

That's pretty good, actually. I'd like to see something simlar done to other seasons. I might actually do that myself if I get the time.

Everything's great.
I'm not surprised about anything.

Even the hapless 2 year old Brabham would have scored a point ?!? Who was at the wheel and where? Damon Hill in Silverstone?
"I don't think we should be used to finance (the manufacturers') R&D because they will produce that engine anyway" said Monisha Kaltenborn.
"You will never see a Mercedes using a Ferrari engine or the other way round."
