Budgets after Birmingham

It's time to start organising Bathurst 1000, the series finale. Here's the rules for the entries:
Weekend Structure:
-> Pre-Qualifying 1 (A and B Class Cars; dependant on entries)
-> Pre-Qualifying 2 (C and D Class Cars; dependant on entries)
If there is lots of entries, pre-qualifying will get split into 4 races, one for each class.
-> Qualifying (54 cars; top 10 fastest do a top 10 shoot-out for pole position)
-> Race (161 Laps)

Teams and Drivers:
Sign-Up Rules:
-> There will be a 36 car limit for each class. If the car count is low, there will be only 2 PQ races. If it's high, 4
PQ races.
-> Every manufacturer that runs cars in WTCM will be allowed a max of 2 entered cars, while Holden will be allowed 3 cars.
-> Non-Asian privateers can only enter 1 car, while asian based teams can enter 2 cars.

Drivers:
-> Every time needs two drivers: a main driver and a co-driver.
-> Co-Driver will run the PQ races, while the main driver will drive the race.
-> Qualifying for the race will include two hour long sessions: one for the main driver and another for the co-driver.
-> The added times will determine the grid, with the top 10 shoot-out for pole position having a lap from both the main
driver and the co-driver.

Prize Structure:
-> Same as WTCM (only awarded to teams who already ran races this year in WTCM).

A note: a team can enter two different model vehicles for the same team. They just need to write down they are entering two separate car models.

The 1990 World Touring Car Masters will be the final year of the Group A rulling as the mandatory ruling for the premier FISA touring car series.

"It's time for a change, and the British Federation presented to us their new formula of the 2 Litre Formula they introduced for 1990. We look at the cars that manufacturers are homologating for the series, and we see the technology being available being superior to the current Group A cars.", said FISA president Jean-Marie Balestre.

Balestre revelaed the new class will be called "Super Touring", and said that he expects that all the major national series addopt the new ruling until 1993 the latest. He didn't comment on the new set of rules, but did say they have already received 5 homologation requests from manufacturers interested in running the series in 1991.
