He had such a brilliant start to the race, got mugged on the first restart, slipped back, went off the track several times and finally crashed out with a dozen or so laps left.Ricciardo kept getting into tangles that eventually dropped him into 11th.
Not his fault Hulkenberg forgot he had damage, and that Sainz drove straight into him.
With Hulkenberg, it looked to me more like the problem that Force India had at the Hungarian GP - whilst that was a much more dramatic event, the onboard camera seemed to suggest that the right hand side of the wing started to collapse towards the end of the straight, just as the aero load was reaching its peak.
As for Kvyat, he was brilliant in those opening laps when he was pressurising the Mercedes drivers, but it was almost as if he then realised that he could take the lead and allowed himself to become flustered by it. There is intrinsic speed in there, but he just ends up pushing that little bit too hard - and it is not the first race this season where we've seen him making those sorts of mistakes.
[Edit] And it has now been confirmed that Hulkenberg's front wing did indeed fail before he struck Ricciardo and was the reason why he collided with him - the stewards have therefore classed it as a racing incident and will take no further action against him. http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2015/10/25/h ... iscovered/
