YouTube actually blocked that first vid from me because I'm under 18 :D so I'd say its Smack My Bitch Up.

I can't access any YT atm, and I can't remember what order I posted the songs in either. Only three of the four are music videos, so it must be one out of Poison, Girls and Baby's Got a Temper.

Bathplug me, the mid-2000s was a great time for indie rock. All gone now thanks to musical snobs. :(

When I think 2005, I think of Maximo Park's first album, A Certain Trigger.

This is one of the best songs on the album, Graffiti. The intro is epic.

Quicken the Heart's my least favourite out of the four. It's not a bad album by any stretch of the imagination, but the other three are just better.

I must be among the 5 people in the entire known universe who actually like this song. I think her earlier stuff is brilliant, but this is pretty good. I suppose the reason I like it is because I can detect a early 1990s shoegaze/noise rock element to it. :?

I can't be the only member who likes Kate Nash, can I? :(

I've been listening to that quite a bit recently.

As I said earlier in this thread, I have been told that I have a bad taste in music. Some of it I won't share. But this is one I do not have on my iPod. And if I were ever to be fortunate enough to have a girlfriend, I would do anything for her love, but I wouldn't do that.

And me! Good god that's an awful song.

Something a bit different for people? How about some post-Peter Gabriel Genesis? Afterglow and Undertow are two of my favourites, both quite similar ballad-like and just prior to the band's move into more mainstream music.

Loud and Clear was re-released in 2006, that's the copy I have and personally I like that album best, and it was their last one as a group. I also have Sign In Please, their debut, which has some killer songs on as well. Have a search for Thrill of Love and the solo on that, simply superb stuff.

Indeed, that's a really good solo! I might put their three albums on my buy-list, although it's getting longer and longer as I'm not getting any money at all at the moment so I can't afford anything besides the very basics.

Back to Judas Priest, this happens to be one of my favorite bootlegs by them.

Try Heart FM in the UK. Pissed all over the local radio stations, took them over, streamlined them all to play a 40 song playlist every day, and consequently saw their audience share fall off a cliff.

Speaking of variety, my local mainstream FM station certainly has it... not exactly in a good way though. I mean, where else could you hear Eddie Rabbit's "I Love A Rainy Night", followed by the Foo Fighters' "Learn To Fly" and then some generic current chart-topping vile back-to-back-to-back, with ads for a new nightclub and a store that sells only handmade knitted clothing and blankets in between.

I sometimes listen to their Absolute Classic Rock station's stream, as it doesn't count towards my monthly download limit (as it's unmetered content thanks to the ISP).

Kerrang! is the best radio station in the country, although its only available in the West Midlands AFAIK.

Anyway, today i've gone fairly old school for my standards, listened through the whole of Pills Thrills and Bellyaches from the Happy Mondays. Class album all the way through, although there's only 10 songs.

Aah the old Virgin Radio. I grew up on that when I was younger, I can still hear some of the old jingles in my head. Chris Evans used to do the breakfast show in the 90s and used to play Wake Up Boo every morning, with a few changed lyrics! And Rock and Roll Football, with its "GOOOAAAALLLL!!!" cutting into every other song! Quality show!

Seeing as we're on radio stations, I also used to listen to Fox FM loads as a teenager, hence why I'm hostile to Heart FM as that was one of the stations they took over. It was Oxfordshire's local radio station, 97.4 and 102.6 FM. They used to have a requests show in the evening, presented by Debbie Ryan, that got me into all sorts of weird stuff, like this for which I still have the single! Groove Cutters - We Close Our Eyes They used to have the 'Flying Fox' as well, a helicopter piloted by the traffic reporter that flew around the county reporting on the roads during the morning show! That was brilliant!

Discussion on radio makes me long for a Cool FM extension for Chrome. Unfortunately that's a Northern Irish radio station. Only. Sigh.

Still, they play good stuff from time to time, even surprising me on Saturday, playing Sandstorm in the middle of the day, heard it while I was waiting in Subway..

I'm not keen enough on rock to listen to Kerrang, but I know that it is a good station.

Pills, Thrills and Bellyaches - good grief, that came out the year I went to university, which makes me feel OLD. And that Blur song you linked to (which is one of my favourites by them, btw, shame Damon's voice has completely gone now!) reminds me of playlisting it at the University Radio Station!!

Ah, Fox FM.....I grew up in Oxfordshire and I remember being incredibly excited by Fox's arrival on the airwaves, I even listened to the test transmission loop constantly. They were certainly great to begin with. I left home in 1993 though so never really listened after that, though I'm not surprised they've been gobbled up by the Heart sh!te machine.
