I'll post entry details in the next few days since the EFR peoples seem blissfully ignorant of our NC events that we have allotted entries for them to have. So the answer is, MAYBE.

Ooookay. Time to get Super GP entries going. It looks like EFR as usual are missing out on our fun times, which means the rest of the 17 entries are up for grabs for those who don't have a team in the GT-R WC up to this point.

So if you remember from when I opened up entries at the start of the year, there was this whole Relation to the Factory mumbo jumbo. It means there are factory teams, teams that have some support from the factory, and customer teams. With the Factory Cars having better performance, and a little better reliability, than their Customer and Supported counter parts. Some cars are able to be factory backed, some can't because of how much the OEM actually care about the programme. For a simply reference:

1 Team: Factory Backed
2 Teams: Factory Supported
Many teams: Customer

Unless it says otherwise, that's how it goes. And it does say otherwise on this document below. Also in that document are the cars allowed to be entered and teams that are already confirmed, by being on the waiting list for the longest time.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AixYE-vmndYOdFpQX0l0UHd2YlpqNDhkdTlJb01URnc&usp=sharing

So enter your team using this entry form below. The entries will be open for one week plus a day, which means I'll close them on Monday the 17th, whenever I come home from work that day. After that, I will RNG to see whoever will get the Factor and Supported rides, and how many cars. Which means more teams can subscribe to be factory teams but only one will get the nod. The odds will be figured out based on the team's track record in the ASMF. Remember, there are only eight entries remaining so don't be mad if you only get one entries when you wanted two. So here is the entry form.

Team Name: (Team Name, Nationality)
What has the team done in the ASMF:
Car:
Relation to Factory: (Factory, Factory-Supported, Customer)
# of Cars: (Max 2)

And once again, don't be afraid to ask questions. I don't bite, most of the time.

In fact, there have only been 2 racing cars of that model (Vertigo Streiff) ever built in reality, so it would only be logical that there will not be more available. And probably only 5 racing cars from 4 different models ever built. This is their only race model more than one were built from. Altough the VDS is technically also a Gillet, so that might makes 6 instead of 5. I am lucky to have seen 3 of these in live action, including the only privateer Gillet to have ever raced. Just for information

Reminding interested parties that entry applications for the Super GP close this Monday mid-day or so. Remember, multiple teams can apply for the factory and supported slots it is not first come first serve so don't be afraid to gable in order to get the best equipment!

But in the mean time, if you manage a driver in one of the Guest Cars, you can send me their ratings now. But only send me ratings for Section 1: Driver Performance and Track Aggression from Section 2. A new system for Cornering Add/Mult will be tested with the ratings for the four cars' drivers, so all you'll need to send me is the driver classification rating, whether it's Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum. Be honest with this one kiddies, or I'll be honest for you.

Now here are the liveries for the four Fly-Away Guest Cars.

Argentina - Driven by José Pablo Mazzacane and Gonzalo Solari

Image

Image

Brazil - Driven by Pablo da Silva and Mineiro (EnerG logos have been added since this picture was taken Biscotti)

Image

Image

China - Driven by Li Qi and Yu Hiang-Hao

Image

Image

Japan Round of Fuji - Driven by Hiroto Tojo and Kastazumo Nakaya

Image

Odds are the fly-away guest entries will continue onto next year at Asian, Middle Eastern (if there are any) and South American races next year if there is enough grid space.

Gauthier will change their lineup in response to our second car being accepted into the Super GP. The first (#117) will run the Voeckler twins, Benoit (FRA) and Adelaide (FRA), whilst the second (#119) will see the team owner Guillaume Gauthier (FRA) drive his final race alongside granddaughter Aimee (FRA). Benoit and Guillaume will be the qualifying drivers.

Numbers for the Super GP teams are between 100-199. Check this link to see which numbers have already been taken, the rest of the entries will be added once you have confirmed numbers. http://f1alternate.shoutwiki.com/wiki/2016_GT-R_World_Championship_season#Super_GP_Entries

At the same time, you can also begin to confirm your drivers. Remember, each car needs 2 drivers; one to start the race and qualify, and another to finish/run a portion of the race. Please denote their nationality when you confirm them.

Also, here are the templates for the cars. Please follow what the read-me says or else there will be unfriendly consequences. https://www.mediafire.com/?nfjar7b9avm0rk8

If someone wants a little bit of extra work can do the McFaste FAT Moslers. They are to look like this car.

Everyone in the Super GP please finalise your driver line-ups. There will be a official test for the cars at Suzuka that will happen before the round of Japan. Details for the ratings system will come closer to that time. Those who have drivers in the Guest Entries, please send in the ratings for those drivers according to how I said a few posts above; (the post with the Guest Car Liveries)the quicker those get done the quicker the season can be run and finished. But in the mean time, have some Super GP preview shots.

Argentina Practice Session Results:

Weather: Clear and Dry

Image

http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a502/RealRacingRoots/GT-R%20WC%20Results/GTRArgentinaPracticeResults_zps1bbb9bc5.png

The Potrero De Los Funes circuit served up a chaotic practice session as the GT-R Circus kicked off for the push to the Super GP. Only two drivers had even seen or driven this circuit in any capacity, and they were in the same car. JP Mazzacane and Gonzalo Solari used their local knowledge of a tricky circuit with the combination of top equipment to potentially become a threat once Sunday comes around.

But the real drama of the session came out of the rivalry that started in the last minutes at the first round in Sepang. Yes, The 26 Union Saver and The 28 IBR Ferrari Clashed. Mind you it was a no-fault racing incident. John Bovy and Gio Roda were in the middle of a race simulation and chasing down Llosa who was on an out lap. They caught the Factory Corvette at the narrow and blind last sector. Llosa was on the outside offline in the 16-17-18 complex to let both Ferraris by. While Bovy went by with relative ease, the timing that Roda had when he went to pass Llosa couldn't have been worse, he went for the exit clipping point at 18 and traded paint in a big way with the Union Saver Corvette who had no where to go with a barrier directly to his left. Traded paint strips were clearly visible on both cars as Roda went to pit in with disgust knowing that his Race Sim was ruined by a racing incident. But Llosa, who was 15th on the times at the time, felt it necessary to make a statement soon after; he flew by the Kun Engineering 575 and put in the second fastest time the lap after, as if to declare that the war is indeed on. The 28 and 26 finished the session a defiant 1-2 showing both sides intent to not stand down.

The other notable events came with the Kjellerup Ferrari having a technical issue and being pushed behind the wall at the back end of the circuit early in the session. Some time later the car was restarted and able to limp back to the pit lane. Although that may be the least of their troubles at Chiara Rossi appears to be overwhelmed with his new role in the Team.

As has been the case for the last few qualifying sessions, Ricardo Llosa and Stefan Kuntz traded blow for blow in the 15 minute sprint for pole. Stefan Kuntz aborted his run early after his tires went passed the cliff and pitted to preserve the car, this left Llosa with the opening he needed to put in a faster time. On his final lap with the chequered flag already in the air The Spaniard put in a time that gave him and Union Saver the pole.

The driver shuffle at Rosenforth appeared to have worked, with both cars being competitive so far. Jimmy Rosenforth was held up for a while in the session by Chiara Rossi but managed to get past and put in a somewhat representative time albeit after the best of his tires were already gone. While JP Mazzacane put in a respectable time after only driven the car for the first time at a Shakedown here at the San Luis circuit on Thursday.
