1992:
Gabriele Tarquini in the Fondmetal.
Roberto Moreno in the Andrea Moda.
Perry McCarthy in the Andrea Moda.
Bertrand Gachot in the Larrousse.
The photo of Roberto Moreno in the all-black Andrea Moda is pretty rare.

From 1991:
The one and only Pedro Matos Chaves in the Coloni.
Olivier Grouillard in the Fomet.
The AGS pit. I never realised AGS had a spare car.
Not a reject, but I love this car:
Philippe Alliot in the Larrousse.
The Chaves one is the only photo of Chaves at Silverstone that I have ever seen. The AGS pit one is quite unusual as well.

I'm harassing him to get him to scan more photos. I know he's got more and I've got some as well, including a pitlane walk video that I (or my friend, I can't remember, not the same dude from these photos) shot at the Portuguese Grand Prix in 1994. I'm going back to Portugal for a week in a couple of days, so I plan to go through the insane amount of racing stuff that is left in my old bedroom at my mother's flat.

These photos are fantastic. My favourites from the 90s are the AGS pit (naturally) and the Andrea Modas - well done on getting both there!

From 1978:
A couple of Tony Trimmer in the Melchester Racing McLaren.
Note that the livery is different and in the bottom photo the engine cover is not on the car. I think (but I may very well be wrong, please feel free to correct me) that the top photo is from the BRDC International Trophy and the bottom one if from F1 World Championship race.
René Arnoux in the Martini. Probably from the BRDC International Trophy.
Arturio (I have recently been reliably informed that his first name should be 'Arturio' not 'Arturo' and has always been misspelled in his racing license) Merzario in the Merzario.
Hector Rebaque in his Lotus. Not strictly speaking a reject car, but his team is.
A couple of Rupert Keegan in the Surtees.
A couple of Brett Lunger in the BS Fabrications McLaren.
A couple of Keke Rosberg in the Theodore. It is possible that one or both of these are from the BRDC International Trophy.
Emilio de Villota in his McLaren.
My personal favourite photo, because I had never seen a photo of this car. Very rare photo and even rarer because it is definitely from the BRDC International Trophy.

Good news to look forward to. This thread isn't reject gold, it's reject rhodium studded with black diamonds.
(Yes, rhodium costs more gram for gram than platinum. Much more and we'd be into the radioactive metals that will only be salvaged from a nuclear reactor.)

It's also always good to see another picture of the Merzario which somehow looks more awful with each photo I see. In that one it's doing a reasonable impression of a London bus.

Check this one out. It's been my wallpaper since 2003.
This was taken at the bottom of the old pits on the wednesday before the Spa 24 Hours in 2002 (the weekend after Arrows' last race and I was race engineering a Porsche 911 GT3-RS for a friend of a friend). I didn't take this one, my flatmate who was also there working for the same team took it. It was about 6 o'clock in the afternoon, almost everyone had cleared off and we had just arrived on the track.

Most definitely a reject design, though. Never mind Nick Wirth and Virgin, I'll wager that this was the first CFD-only designed car... and this is what results in the days when there was little more than a Commodore 64 to work with.
James Allen, on his favourite F1 engine of all time:
"...the Life W12, I can't describe the noise to you, but imagine filling your dustbin with nuts and bolts, and then throwing it down the stairs, it was something akin to that!"

Really get a sense of the gradient from this photo. Well, more than you get from any TV image. Even more respect to Mark Webber for his move on Fernando now...

EDIT:
I was wrong. It´s a Ligier JS41.

Those sidepods remind me of a 1995-spec Ligier or Benetton to me. Which would make sense, considering the TWR connection and the timing of Bridgestone's arrival in 1997...
