Ratings1) Patrick Depailler - 9/10 - Despite dealing with the complete suprise that was his car making the distance, droe a strong race to fend off Regazzoni and Andretti for the victory.
2) Clay Regazzoni - 10/10 - Fell back at the start of the race, but rallied around the one stop strategy and impressive pace to claim second position, just fending off Andretti at the end.
3) Mario Andretti - 8/10 - Cannot fault his driving, but the three stop strategy gamble didn't quite play off for him.

5) Jacques Laffite - 7/10 - Decent performance to claim much-needed points for Ligier

Alan Jones (1:41:52 in the video) Alan Jone suffered transmission failure on the pit straight on lap 67, causing his Williams to slow down rapidly. Emerson Fittipaldi, who was directly behind him, slammed into the rear of the Williams. Jones was then sent flying across the track into the path of Tambay, who had nowhere to go t-boned Jones at full speed. Jones then slid down the track before making contact with the end of the pit wall.
