You can only afford to fire either Massa or Krautmeir right now. You want to wait until the next GP weekend?

In that case Massa will keep his seat for the time being, with Bianchi getting Krautmeir's drive as he moves into team management

After his crap showing on home soil bringing embarrassment to all parties concerned, Button will be subbed for the next round by Senna.

#52 - Jean-Éric Vergne - 3
#73 - Jeroen Krautmeir - 5
#74 - Felipe Massa - 27
#79 - Robert Kubica - 14

-- Positives --
Robert Kubica - after losing out to his team mate yesterday, he retakes the lead in the world championship.

Sebastian Vettel - was a legit contender for the race win, earning him the INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE.

Nico Rosberg - a true champion can indeed start 21st and be on the podium at the end.

Ferrari - good run, this will help themselves for sure.

Stefan-Mercedes - made the most of this chaotic timeline and got a point out of it.

-- Negatives --
Sauber-Mercedes - their drivers took just a bit too much acid before the race.

Jenson Button - he was so bad that RBR replaced him for the German Grands Prix, that's a REJECT OF THE RACE if I've ever seen one.

André Lotterer - is better than merely retiring because of an error.

Mahindra-Mercedes - two driver errors see their race end extremely early.

Fernando Alonso - screwing up qualifying is not good, but can happen, however, screwing up the start after that is just not okay.

#5 - Nico Rosberg - 10
#6 - Fernando Alonso - 5
#14 - Romain Grosjean - 5
#18 - Sebastian Vettel - 4
#25 - Bruno Senna - 10 (+10 for carelessly rejoining the track and causing an avoidable accident involving the driver of car #51 (Valtteri Bottas))
#25 - Jenson Button - 13
#26 - Alex Lynn - 4
#27 - Evgeny Restov - 3
#28 - Alexandre Voeckler - 2

#73 - Jeroen Krautmeir - 5
#74 - Felipe Massa - 27
#79 - Robert Kubica - 14

-- Positives --
Alexandre Voeckler - it takes a Voeckler to (re)teach Ferrari the joys of winning, that's an INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE for sure.

Felipe Massa - rather sensible run by the Brazilian, not fast enough to win, but perhaps good enough to save his career.

Dave Cassidy - finished third despite being hit by Frijns and suffering braking issues.

Kevin Magnussen - he is the hero Marussia deserves and the one it needs right now.

André Lotterer - it's like he wants to stay in F1 at any cost, surely this must impress Mr. Haas.

-- Negatives --
James James Davies - could have had a major result, but he chose to throw it away at turn 16.

Williams-Mercedes - two technical failures, the latter on the last lap, is a very miserable result for a title contender.

McLaren-Hyundai - not like they were any better than Williams, screwing up Kubica's pitstop and having Ricciardo fail two laps before the end.

Sebastian Vettel - could have had so much more, but made a silly error.

Red Bull-Hyundai - you know you are the REJECT OF THE RACE if your replacement of a driver doesn't earn you WCC points, but instead costs you WCC points.

-- Positives --
Robert Kubica - ran wild and used all his skills in order to win.

Nico Rosberg - lost pole position with an embarrasing start, but he grabbed a hold of things.

Sebastian Vettel - very good run for the German, INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE at his home race.

Pedro de la Rosa - nice comeback to Formula One for the old man.

Kevin Magnussen - perhaps today's drive is more impressive than yesterday's, he openly fought the competition.

-- Negatives --
Mercedes - slow speed got them outperformed by Marussia amongst others.

Sebastién Bourdais - he lost his plot after an amazing start, he must be disappointed.

Alexandre Voeckler - yesterday's ultimate hero is the ultimate zero today and earns REJECT OF THE RACE.

James James Davies - the Nürburgring was really not kind to the world champion.

Robin Frijns - impressive, but ultimately unhelpful stunt puts him out of this race.

Felipe Nasr - normally it is Magnussen, who scores big in these conditions, but two points and INFINITE IMPROBABILITY DRIVE OF THE RACE go to Nasr.

Mercedes - had an engine explode and saw the works team end up with a miserable result.

Sebastién Bourdais - first he took out ALV, then he retired himself.

James James Davies - apparentely still able to do great stuff out there.

Romain Grosjean - showed his team mate who is boss at Peugeot.

-- Negatives --
Alex Lynn - apparentely used up all his pace in qualifying.

Villeneuve-Ferrari - both cars finished behind the Stefan of Lewis Hamilton.

Evgeny Restov - retiring with suspension damage on the final lap is not cool.

Robert Kubica - if you want to be world champion, you cannot afford to take out yourself and an opponent on lap one: REJECT OF THE RACE!

Daniil Kwjat - looked absolutely ridiculous in comparison to Vettel's performance, even before retiring.

Alexandre Voeckler - must ask himself whether he could have prevented the accident with Grosjean, even though the stewards gave Romain the blame.

New Engine System

Post by Klon »

Alright, with half the year done, I might as well introduce the new engine system for 2016 onwards.

The basic concept for the performance of engine remains unchanged and new engines will be allowed every two years. Main difference to the current system is you purchase your engines from the customer teams, i.e. you negotiate the engine deal with the user owning the works team. These are as follows:

Ferrari - pasta_maldonado
Judd* - kevinbotz
Mercedes - wizzie
Peugeot - phoenix

* Originally planned to be Pagani-Cosworth, was changed for reasons of realism. I will create fluff for this later.

What is important for the works teams is the value "Average Price" on the price sheet found in the opening post. This is the average price you must meet for all engines you sell (both to customers team and to yourself). You may sell some above that price or below that price, but the average stays the same. For every million you take in over the average, your engine get -50 CFP (capped at -750 CFP). For every million you are below the average, your engine gets +400 CFP (capped at +12800 CP) - this value applies to all customers, not only those that pay too much/too little. You may also name clauses your customers (or the works team) must fulfill, whilst also determining contract length. Each manufacturers is limited to three customer teams (not including the works team itself).

The deals won't come into effect until the 2016 season actually starts, but you can already make contracts now. Any agreement can be mailed to [email protected] or be noted to me in the chatroom.

Caterham driver Daniil Kvyat suffered heavy injuries following his crash in the second race of the Cyprus Grands Prix.

Kvyat was hit by the swerving Red Bull of Alex Lynn on the first lap of the race, which resulted in his Caterham smashing into a crash barrier from an oblique angle at very high speed.

The Russian driver was knocked unconscious by the impact, but managed to regain consciousness as he was being extricated from his car by rescue personnel. He was transported by ambulance to Limassol New General Hospital, where he was immediately moved into emergency surgery.

A Caterham spokesperson issued a brief statement to the general press two hours following the accident.

"We are presently not at liberty to reveal any specifics with regard to Daniil's condition; however, we can confirm that Daniil is receiving the best possible care."

"With regard to further information pertinent to Daniil's medical condition, we will remain subordinate to the wishes of Daniil's family. They, along with Daniil's health, remain our first and foremost priority."

"The Caterham F1 Team would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge the many fans, members of the press and colleagues in the F1 paddock who have sent in their well wishes and statements of support for Daniil at this very difficult time."

"Members of the Caterham F1 team will remain at the hospital to support Daniil and the Kvyat family in any way they can."
