Laurent is currently contracted to Himalayas Racing for the 2016 SARS season, and while nothing has been signed yet, he has been offered an extension to his contract. I guess it's up to his management team where he goes.

Therefore my current driver entries (so far) are:

CAR NUMBER: 8
DRIVER NAME: Renaldo Jiménez
DRIVER NATIONALITY: Tropican
QUALIFYING DRIVER (yes/no): Yes
DRIVER TIER: Gold

CAR NUMBER: 9
DRIVER NAME: Laurent Seron
DRIVER NATIONALITY: Belgian
QUALIFYING DRIVER (yes/no): Yes
DRIVER TIER: Gold

Co-drivers are still TBA, depending on 2016 results, and also these deals are subject to the driver's managers, Klon (I think) & tommykl respectively.

Rusty Gannit is controlled by tristan1117, I think, and you have to ask him first before I allow you to use Gannit. Also note that Mark Webber is wanted by Henri Racing Team too.

Fair enough, anyway it is now updated

Please, stop trying to enter drivers if you don't know if the manager of the driver agrees. Discuss it here or in the classfieds thread, and when you have drivers, submit your entry. It's not that difficult. But you can't keep entering drivers without permission from thier manager.

Secondly, I'm interested in what will happen if I have Sammy Jones in the car. He's the team boss, so wouldn't take a salary but as a top line F1RWRS and former F1 driver he would be classed as platinum. Do I have to pay him a salary or can we negotiate some sort of discount?

Yes, you have to buy two chassis and engines, if you want to run two cars.

About Sammy Jones, that's difficult. On the one hand, I agree that it doesn't make sense if you have to pay him. On the other hand, I don't want to create loopholes. And 250 000 is a significant advantage in LMP2.

I'm not 100% happy with either solution, but I'll have teams pay the lowest possible salary in the tier of the driver/owner, so 250 000 for Sammy Jones.

Okay no worries 250,000 is fine with me. It makes sense that having a good driver in the car means I have to forfeit something!

With this in mind Jones Racing will scale back to a single car operation to maximise the possibility of success in LMP2:

Jones Racing
CAR NUMBER: 44

Budget: 1 200 000
Chassis: Jones JR 500 (Tier 1 own chassis) - 625 000
Engine: Judd - 125 000

DRIVER NAME: Sammy Jones
DRIVER NATIONALITY: UK
QUALIFYING DRIVER: TBA
DRIVER TIER: Platinum (you all remember him...!)

DRIVER NAME: TBA
DRIVER NATIONALITY: TBA
QUALIFYING DRIVER: TBA
DRIVER TIER: TBA

DRIVER NAME: Mike Vulcano
DRIVER NATIONALITY: USA
QUALIFYING DRIVER: No
DRIVER TIER: Silver (newly created driver for the series)

Jones plus the chassis and engine leaves me with 200,000 in the bank, plus whatever Vulcano will bring to the table. The other driver will be confirmed at a later date. I'm open to offers if someone wants a seat for their driver, but I also have my own ideas in mind so it's no guarantee of a drive.

How much would a real-life driver cost in salary? (as far as i can read, it only mentions the fictional drivers) + I suppose a works team need to pay for their own cars, too? (because that obviously will make a difference)

So, if the budget allows it, the #28 will be:
Chassis: Ligier JS55
Engine: Zytek

Probably going to need some pay-drivers, though.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

For real-life drivers, I'll sort them into tiers, and they get the respective salary. And yes, works teams need to pay for their own cars too.

Since Commonwealth Racing have withdrawn their second car, and Samurai Rocket Racing won't run a second car full-time, there's space for a small LMP1 full-time entry.

There's also still space for two LMP2 full-time entries and 5 GT full-time entries.

Klon has let me know that Jeminez is not available for 2017, and I also believe that Seron may be unavailable, so just the one confirmed (in the Classifieds thread) driver for Himalayas so far:

CAR NUMBER: 8
DRIVER NAME: Chacko Palaniappan
DRIVER NATIONALITY: Indian
QUALIFYING DRIVER (yes/no): Yes
DRIVER TIER: Gold

I'm still in negotiations for the lead driver for car 9, hopefully I'll have news on that shortly.

There is still one available, but only a small one. Which means you would only have a budget of 900 000. Anyway, just tell me how many cars you want to run and your numbers.

Micronesian racing driver Jayleen Mori will drive for the Henri racing team for the 2017 ACO Le Mans Cup.

The GTR and RTSS driver was delighted to be a part of the group.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me to prolong my career into sportscar and touring car racing," the Micronesian told reporters.

"The Henri team has a great motive and has a very good structure amongst the management, as well as confidence and ambition.

"It's fantastic I got such an opportunity to drive in the top sportscar series."

Jean-Phillipe Henri was pleased with signing Mori, who had strong showings in RTSS.

"We are very pleased with Jayleen," the team boss reported. "He has proven in other racing series that he could be a force to be reckoned with. With that in mind, we are confident in his ability to drive a sportscar."

With this signing, the Henri lineup for the Le Mans Cup is now complete, for the exception of Car #43's first seat, which is debated. The drivers confirmed are preparing for an exciting season of endurance racing.

Please check your PM. I've handed in an offer.

After some consideration, I have to turn down Ferrarist's and Hermann's offer because Dave is participating in PRIC. Sorry! :(

PRIC and the ACO LMC don't clash, as PRIC runs during the off-season.

SuperAguri, would Katayama like to drive for Pulsar in the LMP2 class?

Blokkmonsta Motorsport has interest in fielding a small entry for 1 or 2 rounds in this series. However, we have other stakes in RTCC and FRENCH that may conflict the schedule, so we don't want to post any official entry until the 2017 calendars for those 2 series are released.

We currently have interest in participating in the GT class as a privateer for the 6 Hours of Spa.
