I did notice in other shots of the car that they had Acer sponsorship on the engine cover. Did that mean they were using re-badged Ferrari engines again? I'm sure they were stupidly expensive for Prost in 2001, something like $30 million to run!

Ironic? Or maybe I placed her in those teams for a reason? And she just happened to be able to do something with them? And don't forget the Lola was a second-placed podium visit!!!

The Kronenbourg livery is horrible. The original green one was good, although their 1989 livery was the best one.

Yes, the Kronenbourg livery was a special livery

I think there's a continuing trend in the motorsport world where clean, flowing liveries are the preferred flavour. I think criteria for a generally well received livery include an identifiable main colour matched by another, or complimented by one or two more. Racing stripes are generally a winner alongside paint jobs that sweep across the car in a clean way. Finally, it is important for sponsors' colours to compliment the car's livery. With all that in mind, I think the '98 Arrows A19, which as already been cited, is a prime example. This in particular begs the questions as to why black F1 cars are generally unpopular.

Purely opinion motivated, there are too many white and red cars abundant. White F1 cars don't look very attractive, but there are some exceptions.


While not entirely white, there's some lovely charm about this livery. Certainly not the best, but I can't see how it is bad.



blue and green should never be seen, but this is one of my favourite F1 liveries that seems to defy all conventions of a 'good' livery. Pastel blue just looks damn good on this car.

I guess it's because Evin's Law theoretically prevented Larrousse, which in 1993 and 1994 was largely funded by the French government, from being sponsored by an alcohol brand. The team's normal sponsor, Tourtel, was a beer with a very low alcohol content (<0.5%), which was acceptable, but Kronenbourg could only be used on special occasions (Aida and Monaco spring to mind).

I actually preferred the Kronenbourg livery on the '94 Larrousse to the normal one!

And all the Leyton House Marches looked great, but the best one in my book was the 1988 version before they got the BP logos on.

Latest reply ever, but I'm pretty sure Eddie Jordan made a conscious decision to abandon the nose-art tradition because he felt the team was losing its racing focus after the disappointments of 2000 and 2001 compared to 1999.

Looking to the golden Arrows and Jordan, I think there should be more golden cars.

And green too... I don't know, but I guess that (and the name) made me a fan of Caterham

That jordan is incredibly nice though. Mclaren should step up form silver to gold liveries for 2013, maybe then they'll come 1st rather than 2nd!

I must admit I prefer the older Virgin/Marussia schemes to this one, but I still really like the shade of red they use.

The HRT is pretty cool, but I'm not sure I like the use of the dark red, would have been better as black in my opinion.

I think the HRT looks stunning as it is (It is already my PC's wallpaper...).

I think HRT got that bang on personally. Too much red and it looks boring (so much red in F1: Ferrari obviously, McLaren and Marussia) whilst too much gold has been done before (Obviously Jordan 96 and Force India 08). Plus, the flashes of red and gold breakup the white nicely so it looks nowhere near as 'virtually white' like Sauber.

But that's my opinion.

The marussia car, for reasons that are unclear to even me, just screams GP2. Don't know why, I think there's a few teams with a very similar front design and overall colour scheme.
