Alternative F1 Without Ferrari

Post by domi-kun »

What if there never was Ferrari in Formula 1, and the point system was always as best of 8, this is my idea of how things could have been in start of 90’s. Who would drive which teams, and what would the teams championship be like.

I Made the Results again, those results weren't realistic at all, So I put a little more effort on this.
The idea is that because Senna is on Lotus, and Boutsen on Ligier, I put their results 1 position backwards. Let's see what it looks like then.

1990 Teams and Drivers

Tyrrell – Ford
Jean Alesi
Derek Warwick

Williams – Renault
Nigel Mansell
Riccardo Patrese

Coloni – Subaru
Bertrandt Gachot

Euro Brun – Judd

You seriously think Senna could of won the championship in the 1990 Lotus, that car was horrible and dangerous

Sure If you want to, but please use the same rules that I have used.
Use real results.
If you put (-) or (+) on some driver then put his position like this. If Schumacher is -1 and if he is second in real life, he is third in this "fantasy" and the driver that was third in real life will be second.

How does it work if let's say, driver who actually finished 2nd has -1 and driver finishing 4th +1? They would both go to 3rd.

3 Coulthard +1

This is a really interesting concept!

Might we be experiencing it in real life soon though? :|

Or will F1 exist at all next year?

If Schumacer had 13 thirds in 02 (which is worth 52 points in total) and there were 17 races in 02 where did the other 45 points come from?
Sorry... just had to point out your rejectdom maths.

Let me correct you, I have always used points system as best of 8, 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1. I wrote it there in the beginning of the thread So if Schumacher is 3rd 13 times he has 78 points, also he has 3 4th places thats 78+15 = 93, and 1 5th place so 93+4=97.
And yes, I suck at maths, that's why i made excel charts to make it easier to count.
