Desperately Avoiding Danica...

Post by ADx_Wales »

...kind of like googlewhack...

...but not.

Ok so here's the challenge:

-Type something F1 related into google
-Go to the Images search
-Scroll through the pages until you find something that has nothing to do with what you typed
-If you go past page 10 without finding any irrelevance it's a "Clean" search, page 10 is the point where obscurity creeps into all searches.
-Post your findings in the thread.

Example

1987 british grand prix

Danica Patrick appears on page 4, NOTHING to do with 1987 british grand prix, there are also shots of athletics, but there has been a 1987 british grand prix in athletics.

Have fun/agony.

Anyone referring porn pictures instantly recieve the star prize of disqualification.

Argh!!!!!

Search term: Bernie Ecclestone
Danica Result: Page 6

At least I was saved from browsing more B.E. images !

Can we nominate the new Google image search for some sort of reject?

Googled: 1992 British Grand Prix.
The cover of the film "Freddy vs Jason" is on page 1, for some reason :? Down on page 14, a scantily-clad miss Deepika is depicted, while the Brazilian female volleyball national team doesn't make an appearance before page 31...

I searched for Crap Racing Drivers. Robert Kubica, Ayrton Senna, Jamie Whincup & Craig Lowndes' Ford Falcon, Jeremy Clarkson and Danica Patrick were all on the first page.

Wait, the last two are supposed to be there...

Page Two: Graham Hill, Erik Darnell (NASCAR driver for those who don't know), Craig Baird, Mark Skaife (see the Alex Katajamäki Racing Career thread for both), Ashley Force, and this.

Page Three: Bernd Rosemeyer, Mark Skaife (again), Michael Schumacher (again!), Henry Seagrave, Morgan Shepherd, James May, Kris Meeke, Max & Bernie, and this.

Danica re-appears on page four, along with Nigel Mansell. Strangely it takes until Page 7 for Milka Duno to appear, and no sign of Deletraz & co. Most worrying of all however is that The Stig appears twice on Page 9 :? (along with Danica again)

Zsolt Baumgartner (yes I know I mentioned his name, but almost every picture on the HWNSNBM search linked to this site :D):
Page 1, 3rd picture: Jenson Button and a scantily dressed lady
Danica shows up (also scantily dressed) on page 13.

Life W12:
Page 1, 1st picture: A picture of a Modena-Lamborghini by the user "Life W12" on this site! Life were so bad they can't even get their car as the #1 picture on google image search!
Danica is nowhere to be seen!

Super Aguri:
Page 3: Lewis Hamilton!?
A Penske IRL car
Page 6: A woman's bottom
Super Aguri was a reletively "safe search" because even down to page 16 there wasn't much weird stuff.

This appears fun.

1# search: Giovanna Amati

1st page, this http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/4 ... gge203.jpg
(Katherine Legge. Picture text mentions ms. Amati.)

1st page, Danica Patrick in state of undress, but this is more interesting: http://www.sidewalklyrics.com/wp-conten ... 11/ls1.jpg

And this is even more interesting: http://www.purrfectgifts.com.au/attachm ... CF0051.JPG This cute kitten is named Giovanna Amati.
The page http://www.purrfectgifts.com.au/page4.html where the image is at contains a lot of cats named after F1 personae. Check it out for the love of god.

2# search: Max Mosley

You can probably guess what sort of images appear a lot, but, well, they are related. As is image of his father in fascist gear.

First completely unrelated image is page 14 or something; http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com ... -getty.jpg

Ironically so, since the picture name clearly says max-mosley-on-phone, but the gentlezombie in question is not him.

OK, I'll have a try at this.

search term: "Takuma Sato"

page 1, 3rd row, 1st column: a racing seat for video games named after the man
Image

page 2, 3rd row, 2nd column: Yuji Ide!
Image

page 3, row 2: more of the racing seat ... LOL what a product
Image

page 4, row 3, 1st column: the man running up the hill at Goodwood Festival of speed in an old Benetton
Image

also on page 4: the man testing for Toro Rosso - they would have been a good fit
Image

page 5, row 5, column 2: the first non-related picture: its found in the signature of a poster named Remington Steele
on a motorsport forum, the posting is about the results from free practice to the Japanese GP 2003:
Image

page 8, row 5, column 1: better keep your noses shut
Image

page 9, row 1, column 3: a photo of Richard Branson that would not show up when I clicked on it
Image

page 10, row 1, column 2: a photo of Hideki Mutoh's car after a crash he had with Sato, including the first mention of Danica Patrick
Image

page 12, row 2: other people on the podium
Image
Image
Image

page 13, row 5, column 3: Taku visits Mount Rushmore
http://www.boardwalklotus.com/main/2010 ... -sato-ind/

page 14, r1, c1: the choc-ice man
Image

page 19: Ide returns
Image

So there was no real Danica photo. The only surprises wer "the seat" and Branson.
I guess AdBlock and NoScript for Firefox work their charm, blocking google cookies and scripts could also have helped to get better search results

Yeah, but that's a total exception to the rule. And there are some sumo wrestlers who come from outside of Japan now.
