Championships
Team Championship - Points are awarded for the best car in each class per team
Driver Championship - Drivers earn points based on their overall finishing position
Pro Class Driver Championship - Drivers entered into the Pro class earn points based on their in class finishing position
Pro-Am Class Driver Championship - Drivers entered into the Pro-Am class earn points based on their in class finishing position

Calendar
Please visit the Wiki

Weekend Structure
Events are divided in Sprint Events and Endurance Events. A Sprint weekend consists of two approximately 150 km races with one mandatory driver swap and separate two-stage qualifying sessions for each race. Endurance Weekends consist of a single 400 km race with one three-stage qualifying and award double points.

Points system:
1 - 25
2 - 18
3 - 15
4 - 12
5 - 10
6 - 8
7 - 6
8 - 4
9 - 2
10 - 1
(Overall) Pole Postition - 1

Entries and Budgets
Entries are split into two classes, Pro and Pro-Am.
Each team is allowed to enter a maximum of 3 cars per weekend, with a maximum of two in the same class, where each car has two drivers.

Driver restrictions for classes:
Pro - No Bronze Tier drivers allowed
Pro-Am - Exactly one Bronze Tier driver required

Every weekend has an entry limit of 40 cars, where 30 are reserved for full-time entries.

To qualify as a full-time entry, a team has to apply for a license for each car they want to enter on a full-time basis during the pre-season. These licenses are limited to 30 and therefore grant access to one of the 30 reserved entry slots at every event.
A part-time license is free, can be obtained at any time, and grants access to a maximum of 4 entries per season.

The application process for full-time licenses will be held during the pre-season and will heavily favor teams with an existing sponsorship agreement that requires them to take part in at least 7 or more events.

If less than 30 cars are registered as full-time entries, the remaining slots become open to part-time entries.

If full-time entries don’t take some of their spots at certain races, f.e. because they want to keep costs down, they become open to part-time entries as soon as the previous championship round is done.

The allocation of the 10 part-time entry slots for each race, will be handled in two different ways:
  • During pre-season: favoring teams with sponsorship goals for the event in question
  • During the season: first come, first served

Sponsors:
Each team can have a maximum of one sponsor.

Sponsors will pay out all the money associated with their three goals. At the end of the season, each team has to pay back the money associated with failed goals. (Therefore, there is no need to choose a sponsor goal, as you chose all three by signing with them.)

Sponsors require a team to enter a certain amount of Events with a minimum amount of cars. If a team fails that criteria, they have to pay back all the money they got from this sponsor. The same applies for any other condition a sponsor might have.

The starting budget of each team will be determined after they signed a sponsorship deal. The requested amount of cars entered into an event will determine the starting budget of a team. $200,000 per car, will be the starting budget.

Entry fees:
  • $25,000 for a full-time license (per car)
  • $0 for a part-time license

Traveling costs:
The traveling costs are specified in the sheet linked at the top of this thread.
Full season travel packages have to be purchased before the start of the season.

Prize Money:
The prize money is specified in the sheet linked on top of this thread. No prices for individual races or the drivers championships.

Overall budget rules:
Teams are at no point allowed to go into debt. If a team has to make an unavoidable payment, like paying back failed sponsorship targets, and isn’t able to accomplish that without going into debt, they are declared bankrupt. So treat your budget with care!

Drivers
Both real life and canon drivers can be used.
Performance for drivers will be based both on canon results and real-life results.

Drivers are split into three categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze

The placement into these categories is done by the series organizer and will generally follow the rules outlines in the spreadsheet linked at the top of this thread.

Driver performance is only loosely coupled to their Tier.

The amount of money each pay-driver brings to a team will be determined by RNG.

Drivers can be released of their contract, but the team will have to pay them their full contract worth in money.
If a pay-driver gets released by a team while under contract, the team will have to pay them back all the money they received.

The drivers found in the spreadsheet are not a definitive list, and every team is invited to bid for drivers outside the sheet. In case there are problems with the classification of a driver, please feel free to contact the series organizer.

Driver owners have to pay the minimum wage for their appropriate tier. That is 15k/race for Gold and 1k/race for Silver. Bronze will still be RNG'd.

Cars
The available cars follow the rules of the Group GTC cars (which are the canon equivalent to GT3 cars).

Prices and stats for cars can be found in the ‘Car Dealership’ section of the sheet.

Car performance follows a strict BOP, which is determined before the season by the series organizer under consideration of various parameters. It will be monitored throughout the season, but changes will only be made if absolutely necessary.

Please keep in mind, that due to the limited nature of new cars, their sale during the pre-season will be regulated by the series-organizer and may include RNG if necessary.

New car buying:
A team needs to place an order (post on the forums) which includes how many cars they want to buy from a certain type and if they would accept fewer cars, in case the orders of the various teams add up to more than the Manufacturer can supply.
If the orders are higher than the supply, RNG will determine who gets the cars (teams that may need this specific type of car for sponsorship reasons get preferential treatment).
The discount for the 3rd car, is only valid if all 3 cars purchased are from the same type and bought at the same time.

Used car buying:
A team needs to place an order (post on the forums, or DM to me on Discord or the forum) which includes the chassis number of the car they want to buy from the used car market, and the amount of money they want to pay. All bids have to be in steps of $1,000.
This leads to one of those scenarios:
  • Team wants to pay the exact price from the dealership and is the only one trying to do so -> they get the car
  • Team wants to pay the exact price from the dealership and there are multiple teams trying to do this -> RNG decides
  • Team wants to pay less than the price from the dealership and is the only one trying to do so -> RNG* decides if the Dealership accepts
  • Team wants to pay less than the price from the dealership and there are multiple teams trying to do this -> RNG* decides if the Dealership accepts the highest bidder
  • Team is willing to pay more than the price from the dealership and is the only one trying to do so -> they get the car for the dealership price
  • Team is willing to pay more than the price from the dealership and there are multiple teams trying to do this -> highest bidder gets the car for [second highest bid + $1,000]
  • Team wants to pay less than the price the dealership would buy the car for -> bid is automatically rejected
*RNG range: 1 to (([Dealership selling Prize] - [Dealership buying Prize])/1000); has to Roll more than [Price Undercut]/1000
Example1: 2021 car sells for $450,000 (and buys for $360,000), Team bids $400,000. RNG odds: 1-90, has to roll above 50 to be accepted
Example2: 2019 car sells for $350,000 (and buys for $280,000), Team bids $290,000. RNG odds: 1-70, has to roll above 60 to be accepted
Example3: 2018 car sells for $300,000 (and buys for $240,000), Team bids $290,000. RNG odds: 1-60, has to roll above 10 to be accepted

How to enter?

Simple, fill out the form below and hand in your sponsorship bids. For now, every user is limited to one entry, but this may change depending on entry numbers.

Please keep in mind that the location in which your team is based, may have effects on the gameplay. So choose accordingly.
It also has to be in a country that exists in canon

Please read the sponsorship section of the rules first, as it does differ from most of the common systems (Tldr: you don't select a Goal and get all the money from all Goals the sponsor has).
For the sponsorship bids, all first-choice bids will be RNG'd before any second choice bids are considered (same system as Aislabie uses in Scrub Era).

The sponsor you land, will also determine your starting budget with $200,000 per car. So 1 car sponsorship gives $200,000, 2 car $400,000 and 3 car $600,000.

Code: Select all

Team name:
Team base:

Sponsor 1:

Sponsor 2:

Sponsor 3: (repeat if needed)
If anything is still unclear, feel free to ask me here or on discord.

Announcement

The first round of sponsorship signings is done, and I've updated the sheet accordingly.

Next steps:

Entries
Entries are now open for a second and third team per user. New Users are of course still welcome. Pls keep in mind that the first team of every user gets preferential treatment for the full-time and part-time entry list, in case of overbooking.
Deals, including but not limited to transfers of drivers under contract and selling cars, between teams of the same user are prohibited.

Teams from users that already posted a second or third team entry are already noted, you can still update them and your sponsor bids if you wish.

Car Dealership
The car dealership is now officially open. Teams that already signed a sponsor can start buying cars if they want. Please read the updated rules at the bottom of the second post in this thread.

If you want to get better odds for drivers that have an affiliation with a manufacturer, you need to own a car from that manufacturer and offer the seat for this car specifically to said driver.

Also, don't forget to be mindful with your budget, as you are not allowed to go below zero at any point in time.

You don't have to buy a car just yet, you can wait until after driver signings. You just won't get a potential RNG bonus for driver car preferences.

The next deadline for Sponsor signings, and possibly the first round of car RNGs (if necessary), is Friday, January 27, 8 p.m. CET

Announcement

First, I wanted to apologize for making the economy so tight, taking away from the number of feasible options a team has.

After some constructive feedback, I therefore made 3 small changes that should help everybody out a bit without completely changing/ruining the economy.
These changes are:
  • I added 24 cars to the used cars list, with models from almost all manufacturers. This brought down the average used car prize by about 10% and adds a lot of older and cheaper options to the dealership
  • The minimum wage per race for Gold Tier drivers went down to $15,000 from $20,000.
  • The garage crew fee is gone completely. This helps all teams planning to run 2 or 3 cars.
I hope these changes help to give everyone a few more options when it comes to how they run their team. I don't plan on making such big changes on a regular basis, but I feel this was necessary and about the last point where I can make them for this season.

Sorry for the inconvenience, especially to those who already budgeted their season.

Announcement

Sheets are updated.

Driver Bids
Driver bids are now open, all bids made so far are recognized but can still be changed.

Please provide the intended schedule you want to run the driver, especially important for part-time entries.

Bronze driver will have an RNG on how much money they'll bring per race, and you can set a minimum amount you are looking for in each Bronze driver bid. If they are below that number, they bid will be disregarded.

The driver classification criteria are on the sheet, please use them if you go off the drivers-list(which is encouraged).
If you have any questions regarding it, please feel free to ask.

As always, please keep your budgets in mind.

Morgan Aero Super Sport GTC #2016-001 2016 $200,000
BMW M6 GTC #2016-004 2016 $200,000
Mercedes-AMG GTC #2016-002 2016 $200,000
Audi R8 LMS Evo #2016-001 2016 $200,000

For drivers we would like to inquire what tier of drivers Ma Qinghua, Ye Yifei and Ho-Pin Tung are and if they are canonically available.

Also i'll have the team race just as GLB Racing because the name is a bit too silly for a more serious championship, but it's technically the same team.
They will enter all australian and asian rounds.

More on Redfox: they plan to enter all european rounds.
To please our sponsors: Rene Rast and Marco Wittman will be backup options for Floersch and David Schumacher a backup option for Ickx (though i really think highly of Vanina!)
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

Regarding the three chinese drivers:
  • Ma Qinghua is considered a Gold driver, as he did half a season of alt-F1 in 2018 with Williams. He should be canonically available.
  • Ye Yifei is considered a Silver driver, as he has RL experience in LMP2 cars. Canonical availability might be tricky, as he finished 2nd in the 2021 Asian F3 Championship, so he may step up to F2 for 2022. The only calendar clash would be the Japanese GTC round.
  • Ho-Pin Tung is considered a Silver driver. He should be canonically available.

Then i'll have Ho-Pin Tung partner Kim Jong Sung (dec: obviously me) as plan A. I think Yifei will be a bit out of our league so far considering we have travel costs to cover.

I would like to please enter Image R-Motorsport.

I would like to request TAG-Heuer sponsorship, and I would like to buy all three of the Aston Martins in the Car Dealership for a total of £750,000.

I'll put driver bids together if the entry is confirmed.

Announcement

Since this series is run on an Excel sheet, there isn't a ton of visual representation of the cars. I decided to change this, and I am planning on doing a spotter guide for the 2022 GTC World Cup.

For this, I've prepared templates for most of the cars available (will provide templates for cars that'll race but don't have a template yet), which anyone can use to make a "livery" for their car. These templates are available here and are also linked it the first post of this thread. They are available in .psd and .xcf format, and any painting program that can handle layers should be good enough to work with them. GIMP is a free solution that works very well for this.
if you have any problems with it, feel free to ask and we'll find a solution

There is only one template per manufacturer, so any car of a manufacturer will use the same template. So a Ferrari 488 and Ferrari 458 will use the same template.

Regarding the numbers, you can either insert them on your own (just turn off the current placeholder number and put your own into the white box) or let it open for now, and I'll slap them on later.
The only "restrictions" for the livery is that it must have your team sponsor prominently featured on it and use the included templates for numbers and classes, other than that you can do what you want (as long as it isn't completely inappropriate or disturbing).

If you can't, or don't want to, make a livery just shoot me a message, and I'll prepare a (basic) livery for your car(s).

Submission can be done either by an exported .png file (1 per car, only if the numbers and everything is final) or just a copy of the .psd or .xcf file you worked with. The best place for it would be discord.
