Richard Lyons and Bas Leinders, both of whom came close to making one-off appearances for Jordan and Minardi in 2004.

Well, i want to add to this list one guy from my country, José María López, 3x WTCC champion. He has the talent, at least for a reject, lol

Seeing as he seems to have been dropped from the Red Bull junior programme, and unless he gets on another one soon, probably won't be getting to F1 at this rate, I'll be sad not even to see a cameo by Dan Ticktum. He's someone whose reputation and personality almost outweigh his actual on-track successes. Someone with that amount of sheer attitude and spontaneity would have been fun to see getting to F1, if just for the variety.

Felipe Nasr - the least forgettable F1 driver!

How about a forum member? wasn’t Mr. Metcalf a F1600 driver at one stage?

Actually on second thought maybe not :P

What about Roberto Ravaglia? Just preferably not with Coloni to whom he was briefly linked for 1989.
