Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Holland 2022

Post by Londoner »

1. Lance Stroll. Q3 on merit and another point safely banked, a good weekend all round.

2. AlphaTauri, because their boneheaded antics with Tsunoda were so silly they transcended ROTR and became eligible for IIDOTR. :deletraz:

Alonso - P13 to P6 in a track where it's notoriously hard to pass

Kevin Magnussen because Klon really needs the Prediction Predicament points.

1. Alonso, mega drive.
2. LeClerc, somehow getting a podium while driving for Ferrari in 2022.

1 Lance Stroll. Another point. Seemed to have some pace I suppose.

2 Fernando Alonso. 13th to 6th. Alpine are going to get 4th anyway but these results help.
Benetton of 1992. Never a reject

Stroll: A point and comfortably better than Seb today. Really the only option. Apart of course from my favourite IIDOTR candidate:

Nobody: Top 3 teams finished top 6 (on track) with Norris and the Alpines following them. That's basically the current order. No one really out-did themselves.

My nomination is the hard tyre, no-one thought it was good for the race, and suddenly proved them all wrong, 100% definition of improbable

Stroll is the clear winner for me. While his teammate did his best Hill 1999 impression Stroll reached Q3 on merit and was desperately unlucky not to be able to compete with technical issues. Raced strongly and another deserved point in normal circumstances.

HM to Russell’s quick thinking on strategy and the pigeons for taking on the machine and winning

1. Fernando Alonso - a popular choice so I'll skip the details.

The poll is up at the top of this thread. Only a few candidates from Zandvoort that immediately come to mind, so you can get your vote in quick during the next 48 hours
