Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Belgium 2022
Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Belgium 2022
1. Alex Albon. Q3 on merit, and a legit points contender all day. At one stage looked capable of P6 or P7, an excellent day for the lad.
2. Esteban Ocon. Twice managed to execute a three wide overtake to perfection.

(1) Albon - P10 on merit and drove positively and well all race.
(2) Russell - so close to a podium in an underwhelming Mercedes.
(3) Alpine - double points, nice, with both Alonso and Ocon showing how to drive a hard race

Yeah, they'd be my picks too.
Also, I had bet on an Ocon points finish.

1) Esteban Ocon: 5th in quali, starts 16th due to an PU penalty, ends up 7th thanks to a mad drive through the field, including two ballsy double overtakes on the outside. Respect.
2) Alex Albon: He got to Q3 & spent the entire race in points-paying positions. IN A WILLIAMS.

1 Alex Albon. Once again outshines the car. Got a point and kept it clean. Did some good overtakes as well.
2 Pierre Gasly- finally some more points and went from pitlane to 9th.
Hm Sebastian Vettel. Good driving from him. If this is the last year of German drivers than Seb is doing his best to make sure they go out with some dignity.

Alexander Albon did an amazing job on both days, getting a deserved point in the end. Honorable mentions to Alonso and Vettel, the old champions did well.

1: Albon: Clear winner for me. 9th in qualifying on merit, a genuine contender for points all day and achieved one. I can’t wait to see what he does on the similar high speeds at Monza
2: Pierre Gasly: From a pit lane start to finishing 9th. When Tsunoda passed Ricciardo I was looking for where the AlphaTauri’s were and i was surprised to see Gasly up there
HM’s
Sebastian Vettel: 8th in the Green Tortoise
Esteban Ocon: Gave us some brilliant 3 wide slipstreaming and came 7th from 16th
George Russell: Considering that Mercedes were even more woeful over a flying lap than usual (Hungary excepted) to be just 2 seconds off the podium was a good effort

Gotta be Albon - a Williams in the points is still a rare thing but both Alpine drivers also worth honourable mentions, Alonso for being near enough to Leclerc to pounce.

1. Alex Albon - Mega all weeekend long.
2. Esteban Ocon - Fantastic drive and I'll argue him to be the second best driver out there - the first one being a guy called Max Verstappen

This one defenitely goes to Stoffel Vandoorne for being able to single-handedly fix RTBF's microphone issues during the broadcast.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Belgium 2022
Alex Albon - Excellent weekend from him. Top
Esteban Ocon - Out of all the top 10 drivers starting from the back, probably the less likely to succeed and yet he did a brilliant race.

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Belgium 2022
1. Gasly - Starting from pit lane and getting 9th on a strategy that was pretty audacious.
2. Albon - Quick throughout the whole weekend. Great straight line speed and barely put a foot wrong.

1. Albon: 10th in a Williams, fighting with midfielders. We can argue low-drag, straight line speed all we want, but look where his team mate ended up...
2. Ocon: Two double overtakes! Additionally, he repeated one of the most fondly remembered moments at spa, the 3-wide overtake in 2000, this time, all 3 drivers jockeying for position.
