What would be good f1 theme music?
Here are my 2 suggestions
The mute city themes from F-Zero (perhaps the ultimate driving songs)
Grand prix by mega nrg man, for obvious reasons
what are your opinions and reactions

I don't know, it's nice, but it doesn't scream "racing" to me. It would never catch on.

Re: What would be good f1 theme music?
I have, for a long, long, long, long time, wished this clip of music by The Crystal Method would be the intro to some kind of racing coverage.
However, I certainly wouldn't be averse to this making a TV comeback in some way

I believe this song was used as the main track for one of the TOCA games.

I'm willing to admit it: until now, I haven't even realized that Toca World Touring Cars (or the third PS1 game, if you prefer) used this, and I was playing this game through recently without spotting it...

I always really liked the theme music to F1 2001, I've no idea what it's called so cant give a link
The Chain has become so associated with F1 that anything else used as theme music will always be compared to it, and for me nothing tops The Chain. Especially in concert

This was the opening sequence to the Channel 9 F1 coverage here in Australia when I first started watching in 1989:

Looking back it does sound rather 1980s but I still think it's a good theme for F1.

This is probably the only 'song' they have then, rather than a random arrangement of several loud noises

I do think they have matured a lot on Sempiternal but they still have that anthemness which you can't really put your finger is on

If it's 80s you want, with turbo cars and excess fuel being burnt off and showers of sparks, look what was released... just as the turbos were going out, and by a couple of men from a country where motor sport is banned (or was until Formula E turned up this year).
Alternatively, if you want the sound of some Swedes who were annoyed at the extreme price of vodka that they turned to drinking high-octane petrol instead...

You're 30 years too late, my friend! There was a music show on german TV in the 80's called "Formel 1", which is german for Formula 1 (duh). And one of its later seasons featured Yello's The Race as its theme song.

Even stranger when you consider the Cyrillic characters all over the spaceship were completely random rather than spelling a word in Russian, Bulgarian, Serbian or a whole load of other Eastern Bloc languages. Now, you could say great minds think alike here, but you've just said this was a music show. In the recent past, this show would have been Bernied out of existence before it ever got out of its first series...
