John B&Q Reject of the Year Award
3rd | VX Racing
A disappointing year that will leave top brass at the company wondering whether it's still worth footing the bill for their racing programme. Bringing in Arthur Forster for a round to replace Menu was bizarre.
2nd | Adam Jones
Jones managed to cost SEAT Sport the teams and manufacturers championship with his limp driving. Given how well his team-mate did, winning the championship, and also the customer Leon of Shedden picking up plenty of wins and podiums, he has no excuses.
1st | Team Dynamics
A year ago, they were the third-best team in the BTCC. 12 months on, they have sunk to unthinkable depths, picking up only 8 points for the entire campaign. Development on the Civic was non-existent, and in the world of racing, staying still and going backwards are one and the same. Their choice of drivers was also rather unconventional. While Roberto Colciago is a touring car veteran, with STCC and ITCC titles, to have a team leader who has never raced in the series before, and therefore has little to no track knowledge, is a strange decision. To partner the Italian was Andy Neate, possibly one of the least qualified drivers in the field for a factory seat.
How such a long running and successful team like Dynamics can sink to level where they are so slow they fail to even pre-qualify for a race is simply astounding. A giant has fallen.
