IIDOTR: 2016 Italian Grand Prix
Who did better than you expected this weekend? Who transcended their car, proved your doubting wrong, or just did something cool? Whether it's a driver, a team, or some guy in the crowd, let the Internet know your opinions.
Ten points for vote 1, six for vote 2.
My votes:
1. Ricciardo
2. Haryanto

Yeah, that guy on the banking gets my vote.
Uh, second choice... Alonso for the fastest lap. Yeah, it was on fresh tyres, but it was nice to see.
Ricciardo's banzai overtakes are too predictable

Rosberg gets my first vote for getting a victory when he really needed it, and Alonso gets my second vote for getting a fastest lap. In a McLaren. In Monza of all places.
Honourable mention goes to Ricciardo for that move on Bottas, and Hamilton for making this championship battle that little bit closer.

10. Nico Rosberg - Needed a really good race and delivered it.
6. Daniel Ricciardo - That pass I guess.
Not much to add because everyone finished really where they should.

1. Haryanto - #neva4get
2. Bottas - What? Competitive in a Williams!? Say what you want about Bottas' performance level after 2014, but this year, whenever opportunities for points have been grabbed, it's been due to Valtteri. He's definitely asserting himself as team leader again this year.

Simona de Silvestro for securing a full-time V8 Supercar drive.
Fernando Alonso for keeping people entertained during the race.

1. Valtteri Bottas: Fought for a top five finish and got a nice sixth place. Puts Williams ahead of Force India until next race...
2. Fernando Alonso: McLaren's first fastest lap in more than three years, all because he pitted for supersofts but still nice to see.

*Tries desperately to remember race*
1. Erm........ Rosberg, I guess- at least he convincingly beat Hamilton
2. Bottas, probably?- he qualified well and finished not far away in an increasingly dire Williams.

Mclaren drivers- at least I remember them being interesting, even if they didn't score

1. Alonso: fastest laps does not have a big meaning nowadays, but his achievement was totally unexpected and deserves a big prize!
2 Rosberg: after LH's poor start his win looked more than probable, and he drove a flawless race.

Re: IIDOTR: 2016 Italian Grand Prix
1. Ricciardo - I was expecting Red Bull to be less competitive than they were: despite the fact that the performance gap has been steadily closing this season, Renault's engine is still a little behind their rivals and the move against Bottas was quite a risky one to try and pull off.
2. Wehrlein - I would have thought that, even though his heroics eventually ended in a mechanical retirement, surely he should get more recognition on this site for his efforts? He'd hauled the car into Q2 on merit and was running pretty well in the race until he had to pull out with a loss of oil pressure.
