Proposals for a test track and F1 track

Post by el_chasco »

Hi guys.

I'm blowing the mind to find a good design for my track (car brand test and F1 track), and I looked the Tilke game from this forum, I looked all the tracks, but some doesn't satisfact at 100%.

All proposals are accepted, but with this rules:

-Permanent track.
-Max. lenght are 6.5 km.
-In Europe.
-You can recover an abandoned old track, and make a new design.
-You can't modify an existing operable track.

The track will be made in www.milermeter.com, and upload the link in the comments.

The winner track will appears in simracing (e.g. rfactor, GTR2...).

Thanks.

Is mappedometer acceptable? I was going to use milermeter, but I always find myself using mappedometer instead. It's something I can't get out of the habit of using for my designs. I digress...

Here's a real fantasy course made by tearing up my local golf club (any old excuse to have a track I can see from my house :P). Really, I'm just posting it here in case I want to use it or a modification thereof for a future design competition track. It comes with breathtaking views like this one (that's a ruined Norman castle in the background).

My actual entry for this is an extended version of a circuit in Dublin's Phoenix Park I designed for a competition a while back, with modifications made taking the judge's criticisms into account. The start-finish straight is the one running east-west halfway between the 1 & 2 km markers. The direction is correct though: http://www.mappedometer.com/?maproute=451328

Oh, and welcome to the forum! :)

A fast street circuit blasting around the coast of Bari, Italy. Has some technical bits too (mainly around the 3km mark), to make set ups challenging. The paddock is at the same area where the route starts/ends. The pit lane goes from the final flick coming into the paddock section to the first corner.

I might as well add quickly that the bus stop section before the 4km marker is supposed to be an area like the tunnel chicanes in SSR11 from GT1. By that I mean they are fast and they punish you hardly if you mess up there.

Sorry to burst your bubble (especially sorry as a fan of the classic SSR11) but:
All proposals are accepted, but with this rules:

In that case then...
I present the Gdynia (how are you supposed to pronounce that?) Racing Circuit in Poland. It is designed to be like Hockenheim, with the majority of the circuit being a fast dash through the forest, with the track getting tighter around the paddock, situated on the inside of the main straight, which is where the route starts. The pits go from the last corner to around 2/3s to 3/4s along the straight. There is a lot of runoff in the sections in the field, but there is minimal runoff in the forest sections.

It's pronounced pretty much the way it looks, no silent letters. It seems a bit weird for us English speakers but that's what makes linguistics so great! :)

Yep, pretty much how it's spelled, only the "y" is halfway between "ee" and "eh". And yes, I know how to pronounce Polish, because reasons.

May I present to you the Ciudad del Motor de Aragón modification with the modifications happening at turn 5 and during the straight there is a little chaconne during the back straight.

The track size can be increased, but the idea as a whole is test track.

A long straight, quite a tight first corner and then a series of fast bends before tight hairpin. A bit of corner where accelerating throughout (I tried to emulate a bit of section from Red Bull Ring turn 3), medium speed left-hander and then multi-apex corner. Double right-handers with similar layouts, straight and tight chicane which would have difficult kerbs. Left, right and then straight into long right-hander. A sharp but fast right-hander, chicane and we're back on the start/finish straight.

Lenght: 6,1 km
Location: Situated in a valley about 30 km outside Rijeka in Croatia.

The circuit is quite a fast circuit with Silverstone influences and has 14 corners with elevation changes.

The terramar no, please!

I live 60km of this track.

Note for TheFlyingCaterham Italian track and dio1990: NOT URBAN TRACKS.

All tracks are fine, but this track http://www.milermeter.com/?r=6684741 is a 200% Tilke!

And the last chicane can be passed only by Scalextric cars!

I had to go back and click on "quote" on my post to see if one of these tracks was mine or not... And it is! :)
