Marching out from Formula One

March Engineering have announced that they are ending their involmement in Formula One and won't be entering the 1982 season. The team has struggled to even qualify for races as of late, and their sponsors are reportedly unhappy with the team's performances.

"Yes it's true, we won't be in F1 next year", said Robin Herd. "We can't seem to be able to get our things right, and instead of continuing to butt our heads into the wall and waste money on something which won't result in anything meaningful we've decided to concentrate on our IndyCar program, which has shown a lot more promise than our F1 effort. We might be back in F1 some day, but in the current situation it just isn't feasible to carry on like this.
