Speedworld will return, and have Markus Jacobsen as second driver, he has personal sponsorship from Pöyry

Right, enough waiting. Although OsellaFA1L came back online on the last minute, he still failed to state his livery plan and is thus kicked out from the series. I want all members in this series to be active so coming around once every couple of months just isn't acceptable, especially if you don't do what you're asked to do.

As for De Friis Motorsport, the team will remain in dormant state, i.e. they won't enter any races but won't be kicked out either, Vepe has until the end of this year (the latest possible date he'll be ending his military service) to become active again, otherwise his team will be permanently struck off as well.

Due to time constraints, Speedworld's race numbers won't be redistributed and no new members will be drafted from the waiting list to fill the spot.

Here's the new and updated helmets for this season. I think I need to have a sit down now...

I've also done this; I'm aware it's not 100% accurate since I don't have the bulk of Cynon's custom logos, but I think I might be able to get away with it...

RejectSport wrote:Blokkmonsta Boots Entire Livery Staff

Upon returning from the AutoReject 3.5 Africa Cup things do not seem well at the Blokkmonsta garage. Eyewitnesses reported several people were thrown out onto the street along with some spray guns and assorted aero parts. When questioned the people on the street claimed to be Blokkmonsta Motorsport's graphic design team, and that they were thrown out the minute team CEO Andrea Schnass walked in. Minutes later Schnass appeared with two enormous bodyguards to yell at the leaving staff. "You call those liveries? My stool must be art then! The only livery you dummkopfs will work on will be cleaning up the scheiß you used to paint my cars!" Schnass promptly picked up a spraygun and ran back inside. "'Lexi! Come help papa clean this place up! We need those cars repainted by next week!"

This means that Blokkmonsta will be making new liveries for the rest of the season, effective immediately. Here are new liveries:

Cup standings are now on the wiki as well.

Also, this news bit should've been posted before the first AC race, but whatever:

SRMP, 10th January 2018 wrote:AR 3.5: two teams out before even the first race

As the teams and drivers get ready to prepare for AutoReject 3.5's winter cup held on four circuits in Africa, two entries - De Friis Motorsport and Speedworld Racing - are reportedly in serious trouble.

De Friis' situation is arguably more serious, as just when their preparations for the winter cup had been finished a fire broke out in the team's base in Rotterdam, destroying all of their cars and equipment. As the team's finances are in a bad shape following the withdrawal of some major sponsors due to their lack of results in 2017, it's questionable if the team can afford to replaced the destroyed items. Although the team had insurance, the insurance company has reportedly refused to pay the team any compensation, claiming that the team's facilities had an inadequate fire alarm system which didn't alert the fire brigade early enough to minimise damages. The AR 3.5 commission has told SRMP that De Friis Motorsport will receive a special permit to miss as many races as needed to sort out their situation.

Meanwhile, Speedworld Racing have been accused of failing to pay even the first installment of their share of the series' travel costs, and have not responded to the commission's requests to contact them immediatedly to resolve the matter. As a result the team has been banned from entering the Africa Cup altogether while the matter is being resolved and a further investigation into the team's situation is completed. SRMP understands that the team's current situation is rather troublesome, as they still haven't announced a second driver nor revealed their livery for this season.

SRMP, 7th March 2018 wrote:AR 3.5: Speedworld Racing out for good

The AutoReject 3.5 commission has announced that after a thorough examination into Speedworld Racing's current situation, the team is unable to compete at the level or professionalism required for the series. The investigation started in January of this year after the team failed to deposit their first installment of their share of the series' travel costs, and during the course of the investigation it was found out that the team is practically insolvent and only operating on a bare skeleton staff. Despite intense efforts the commission was never able to contact the team's lead personnel for an explanation about the matter. As a result, the team has been permanently excluded from the series, although for technical and scheduling reasons they will still remain on the entry list for the first race of the season.

I'll run Melbourne pretty soonish, so if you have any changes planned you better let me know about them quick.

Also here be Blokkmonstas:

After an inauspicious start to the AR3.5 season, Jones' rookies Luke Gilson-Clarke and James Jones have the pressure off them, according to team boss Sammy Jones.

"It's a learning year for them, for sure." said Jones after the first round of the series in Australia. "Both are as green as grass when it comes to these more powerful cars. It's only natural that it will take them a little while to get used to them. As far as I'm concerned, all I want to see is as few mistakes as possible. Points finishes are our target this year. It's not as if either are expecting to go from AR2.0 to ARWS in two years is it? We're keeping our feet on the ground and not letting any silly sh*t start flying about."

3 positions away from points, at least we're starting to leave the dead last zone. :)

Vosu finished in 20th? She may need a bit more practice in the simulator. It certainly wasn't my fault, my plan was flawless!

So average.

Well Barett gets one more race until he's dropped. Time for Justin Case to do his duties.

Auto Fiction wrote:"Last Chance Saloon" for Robertson
After a dismal start to the first few rounds of the AutoReject 3.5 season, Simpson Motorsport driver Michael Robertson's career in international open wheel racing could be coming to an end after the 2018 season. Reports from the paddock suggest that Robertson will be dropped from the Simpson development program unless his race results improve drastically over the season. Robertson's best feature race finish so far was an 8th at his home round in Melbourne and is trailing rookie team-mate Daniela Anger in the championship standings.
This is a cool spot.
