F1 Challenge is an awesome game, I invite you to look at http://www.racesimulations.com/F1C/sections.html for a whole load of mods. Also, there is http://alliance.bondurand.com/f1c_tracks.htm and http://hosted.filefront.com/f1ctr/page1 for hundreds of add on tracks.

I'm not sure that standalone mods are legal, so I'll turn this down. Add ons though, as far as I understand are fine. I'm waiting on a mod that a guy is working on at racesimulations.com that looks even better! ;)

It's a fantastic game, and one i've played for a number of years now. The new seasons are good, but the sheer amount of addons is what makes this game great. Plus, it's probably one of the few, if only f1 games that allows you to drive the reject of rejects, the unholiest of unholiest, the crappest of crappest teams, Life! :D

Although it's nigh on impossible to simulate just how bad they were, as they'll make it into races. :D

I think I'm going to create my own season now with all the reject teams that I can find, can't decide whether to try the championship with Life or Andrea Moda :?:

Seriously, there are 100s of add on tracks, just checked and my tracks folder in 2.75GB

I didn't get along with F1 Challenge. I won the 1999 championship with Stewart at the lowest difficulty level. When I tried the following difficulty level, I often spent a good part of the races leading, but then, just three laps before the end, I had brakes problem which made the car turn sharply every time I touched the brakes. I doubt this was a special addition to the 2000 Arrows or the 2001 Minardi.
Also, racing at Monaco was crazy, with lots of crashes all around me. The AI seemed too aggressive for its own good.

Nowadays, although not as often as I'd like, I stick to the Race Driver series and Simbin's games. I know there's a F1 2009 mod for GTR Evolution which even simulates KERS, but I heard it was a bit rushed. There's probably other ppl working on that.

Yeah F1C is Great.........Especially for those of us who are Motorsports Historians......With the Prototype-C Mod from Sports cars Glory Years with Group C.........to the F1-Seven Series....Which is my Favorite.......who wouldn't love racing against the Greats from 71, 73 and 75........

and as Far as Wookey's Track page is concerned, I know he's put a LOT of hours and Sweat into making that page, and obtaining permissions to post those tracks.......It's funny, that Page started as place for people to find tracks for the F1-Seven mod, and then it just ballooned out to whatever tracks he could get his hands on.

F1 challenge is a lovely game, and for a guy who simply loves older (70's- mid 90's) formula, its the only way to drive cars like Lotus 72, Tyrrell p36, Lotus 4wd Turbinecar, McLaren Mp4/2, Mp4/4, Williams FW08, FW11, FW14, FW15, FW16 etc, not to forget undying cars like Simteks, Pacifics, Fortis, Lifes, Andrea Modas, Osellas etc.

And the circuits avaible for the game are sheer perfection... Nordschleiffe? Check. Brands Hatch? Check. ORIGINAL Spa? Check. Österreichring? check. Dijon-Prenois? Check. Paul ricard? Check. Old Silverstone? Check. etc.

I love it.
I got Pointed Opinions and I ain't afraid to use em!

BTW, thats Räikkönen with two K's and two N's. Not Raikonnen (Raikkonen is fine if you have no umlauts though)

I'm sticking with Rfactor. Just take a look at the available cars, tracks and mods at http://www.rfactorcentral.com/. All those downloads are free, you just need the game. Rfactor2 is comming in the next year or so, with better physics, wheater, graphics and who knows what more.

I have driven some races on rFactor with 1988 and 1991 mods. in first one using Alex Caffi's Dallara and in the latter one Eric van de Poele's Lambo.
