Inofficial Ban For McKane?

According to an inside source at FOM, Nathan McKane's departure from Scuderia Ferrari Gauloises was not merely down to a team decision: FOM chairman Christian Horner was said to be outraged at the comments of the British driver after the accident at Monza that injured Robert Kubica severly. Fearing a severe image loss for Formula One, the former Red Bull team manager "asked" Ferrari to keep McKane out of the car for the rest of the year.

McKane, who has been unavailable for the media for his entire forced rest is rumoured to return to the team next season which would speak for the validity of this story. "Due to the conflict between F1 and ARWS," the source was quoted, "Christian [Horner] is quite on the edge as far as public perception of the two racing series is concerned, especially now that the year-long lawsuit regarding ARWS's former name was won. The rather disrespectful comments by McKane had him quite upset."
