9. mrfakeboullier
How bored would you be driving this? The first two (or three, depending on you count the Mirabeauness of the first turn) corners are good, then you have a long straight into a chicane, a long straight into a chicane, then a long Valencia straight to a corner you've already seen earlier in the lap. Then a long straight into a chicane. And long is over a kilometre. If you love the old Hockenheimring, you'll still hate this.

8. W12
Too many angular 90-degree corners. The part from 1 to 5 km is cool, though. Thrilling high speed with a heavy braking hairpin in the middle, but it doesn't save the rest of the track. I'd say more, but that's all there is to it.

7. Nuppiz
Like W12, there are some cool corners but mostly the same boring one over and over. This one goes for tight corners and challenge instead of flow, though. Plus there's that course to the west that's probably for something cool. It's next to two racetracks!

6. peteroli34
Where-the-hell-is-the-line corners, hairpin, high-speed angular corners... then another section that's sort of boring. Still pretty cool, this would've been ranked more highly without the 2-km Valencia straight at 1-3 km.

5. AdrianBelmonte_
The long Valencia straight to the east is really bad. The other part of the track is cool, though. After km 4 it gets particularly good. Also, the little peninsula at 6 km was a good decision, since I feel like you want to know.

4. go_Rubens
Like the previous two, it's a good variety of corners, but featuring two 2-km straights. But you see that section from 4 km to 6? That's called flow. I don't understand the needless chicane between kms 4 and 5, though. I mean, I do, it's another challenge, but come on. Flow. Also the corner(s) at 2 km is/are really cool.

3. roblomas52
Yes, it's a power circuit, but that's the point. And the corners are actually really good. They're all individually fun, they link together well, and they don't repeat each other. You don't get to say this often, so... good job, roblomas52.

2. dr-baker
Like W12's, it looks like a circuit you would actually see in real life. Unlike W12's, it's good. Yes, the three circular roundabouts are a bit similar, but not identical, and the straights are longer than they look, but it looks fun. And all the other corners are really good. If the straights were shorter, you'd actually want to drive a race on this.

1. Simtek
A mountain switchback area, a couple long but not totally ridiculous straights, that southwest "where's the line, jk it doesn't matter you outbraked yourself anyway" section, and... I'm not sure if the last two corners would be absolute thrill rides or boring Tamburellos, but this is a street circuit. Everything you love about pedometer circuits in under 5.5 km.

Thank you UgncreativeUsergname! I assume that I must set the next challenge, so here we go.

Bernie has gotten a lot of criticism for bringing F1 to countries with poor human rights records, yet none of the bottom 25 of the International Human Rights Rank Indicator have ever hosted a Grand Prix. Your challenge is to bring F1 to any one of the following countries:

1. Democratic Republic of the Congo
2. Chad
3. Sierra Leone
4. Somalia
5. Syria
6. Rwanda
7. Ethiopia
8. Central African Republic
9. North Korea
10. Eritrea
11. Saudi Arabia
12. St. Kitts and Nevis
13. Western Sahara (disputed)
14. Vietnam
15. Republic of the Congo
16. Afghanistan
17. Philippines
18. Nigeria
19. Senegal
20. Uganda
21. Equatorial Guinea
22. Indonesia
23. Burundi
24. Tonga
25. Brunei

The rules: The track must be between 3.5 and 7 km. Link roads are acceptable, but no existing buildings may be demolished. The deadline will be next Friday (that's January 2nd) at 18:00 UTC.

Rob, your effort is most certainly a creative one and I quite like the layout. For that I congratulate you, but unfortunately it will not be allowed due to the fact that part of the layout is inside Bahraini territory. :P

Sorry, watka, but the track is more than 200 metres too long.

You could try doing a Central African Republic track from scratch. The country's acronym is CAR, they're asking for it! :P

Judging complete! The final standings are as follows:

11. AxelP800 - The three 90-degree bends at the end could easily have been just one and the hairpin between kilometres 3 and 4 could easily either have been turned into a chicane or taken out altogether. The track is full of right angles, but I do like the left hand kink halfway between kilometres 2 and 3, it could create a blind entry into the following right-hander, so good job there.

10. W12 - Kinshasa isn't a particularly old city, dating back only to the Scramble for Africa in the late 19th century. As such, its street layout is quite predictable and is not the best place to design a creative street circuit. Nevertheless, the final result of W12's effort is not bad, it certainly could have been worse. I like the Hockenheim-style kink and the long left-hander just before kilometre 4 reminds me of turn 4 at Sochi. The use of roundabouts does add some variety to the layout and there are only four truly 90-degree corners. Good job.

9. roblomas52 - The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where two of the world's greatest past (and technically, current) leaders are buried! The main straight is slightly too long and the chicane just before the pair of 90-degree corners at kilometre 2 is a bit unnecessary. The rest of the track is good though.

8. Bleu - The roads could do with a bit of paving, but the layout does look pretty good, quite fast. The straights are just right and the corners are interesting enough.

7. go_Rubens - Another Pyongyang circuit, just across the river from that of roblomas52. The main straight is a little too long, but I do like the Parabolica-like corner at the end. The track seems to have a nice flow to it and looks quite fast. Good job.

6. WaffleCat - Nice layout overall. In particular I like the esses just before kilometre 4 and the chicane leading onto the main straight. I like to think of it as being similar to the chicane in Seattle in Gran Turismo with the pitlane straight ahead. Very good.

5. mrfakeboullier - The first two kilometres are... painful, to say the least. After that though, I must say i really like the nature of the track, with this fast section combined with the slow first third, it should make it difficult to compromise for setups. I quite like how the main straight is basically one long striaght with two chicanes and a kink in the middle, it reminds me a little of Le Mans and I like the way the straight around kilometre 3 is basically a series of short kinks. The section from kilometre 2 onwards more than makes up for the first third of the lap.

4. peteroli34 - I like this. A couple of long-ish straights and some nice corners too. The Sultan is a petrolhead, so I think he would be very pleased with this.

3. AdrianBelmonte_ - The environmentalists won't be happy, but bathplug them. :P The only entry to be an original design and it is a very good circuit with undulations if the elevation data is to be trusted. The straights are just the right length, there's a nice esses section between kilometres 3 and 4 and it looks like a great circuit overall.

2. UgncreativeUsergname - Very interesting idea having a track spread across three different landmasses and it's also quite interesting having a bridge act as a straight intead of just being effectively part of the scenery, like say, Valencia. It looks like a very fast circuit and I'm not sure whether the part at kilometre 6 should be a bridge or an underwater tunnel (I would choose the latter, personally). Well done!

1. watka - There are plenty of long corners, which make the track stand out. Some long straights as well to make it fast. I have to say I prefer this to the original submission. Great job!

Thought that some others were better than mine (go_Rubens was beautifully simple and looks like a challenge) but thanks!

My challenge is Stadium Speedway

The only requirements of your track must be that it is between 3km and 8km long and that part of the circuit must enter and exit a stadium of some sort. Naturally this will mean using the straight line tool to go "off-road"; I will permit tracks that use no existing roads at all if you wish but a word of warning is that I don't tend to like them!

I'll give you until the end of 10th January to submit!

Thought I'd do one close to home, in the town where I went to secondary school! The stadium (possibly the first time it's been called such) is the home of the mighty Bray Wanderers FC. Useless fact: It was used as a stand-in for Croke Park in the Bloody Sunday scene of the 1996 film "Michael Collins".
