A summary of news articles from the past month in the paralell universe where the Formula One Teams Association have formed and organised their own series, the venues are ready, the teams are almost set, all thats left is to announce the drivers:

As the off-season slowly hurtles towards the FOTA "Launch Day" at Paul Ricard, the FIA and FOM plan to strip the defecting drivers of all their results, with Michael Schumacher rumoured to be joining the Virgin Brawn Mercedes team, it would lead to the removal of all his 7 world titles, 92 victories, and 68 pole positions, from the F1 Records.

Lights on in Valencia: The final round of the 2010 FOTA championship will take place at night in an attempt to boost crowd attendances.

What's in a name?: FOTA who decided on the Intercontinental Formula Cup have had a change of heart and suggested that GP1 could be used instead, with GP2 making its way over when the FOTA series arrives at the Sachsenring at the end of June, other support events include Formula BMW, a Ferrari Sportscar event, and possibly a pro-celebrity race at each venue (except the Le Mans support act) in Renault Megane Silhouettes.

No other choice: Flavio Briatore and Luca de Montezemolo have defended their choice of circuits for the inaugural FOTA series, with the FIA and FOM locking in contracts with the 2009 F1 venues (except for Valencia) for another 5 years, "This is the best we can do".
