I have a question about Michael Schumacher's helmet design..

Post by Sunshine_Baby_[IT] »

Hello to everyone, I'm back! ;-)
I had been wondering something about MSC's helmet design since a long time and I think that F1 rejects forum is the only website where someone could know the answer.

On Schumacher's helmet there are seven sort-of stars (not exactly stars, they have just four apex, but I don't know if there's an English word to describe this symbol).

According to some sources this stars represent his seven world championship... but it's surely untrue: he never radically changed his helmet design after Monaco grand prix 2000 (if I'm not wrong he changed from white and blue to red helmet in order to avoid confusion because the white and blue design was too similar to Barrichello's helmet) and in the previous one (that never radically changed since 1991, and probably similar to the helmet design he had before his F1 debut) there were too the seven stars.

Watching some old photos from his Benetton years I noticed that once the stars on his helmets were less than seven: five until the end of 1992, six in 1993 and early 1994 and later seven. It seem to me that Monaco GP 1994 was the last time he had an helmet with six stars and Spanish GP the first time he had seven.

Does someone know if the stars on his helmet represent something and why were added from five to six and later from six to seven?

The number of times he's stolen H-H Frentzen's girlfriends.

I don't think that Schumacher had had seven different girlfriends! :D :D :D

The blue circle with the white stars on the top was his idea.

Here's another one:

Michael, for example, hasn't changed his helmet colours since 1994."

So what are those colours, and why? Michael Schumacher explains: "beside the area of the visor, you can see the traditional black-red-gold of Germany. I chose those colours years ago with a friend of mine, and I've changed them only slightly since then, usually to include sponsors' stickers. I must admit it was my friend's idea to go for the blue circle on top with the white stars. I quite liked it and I've stuck to it ever since.

He's a golfer! He's putting things into holes multiple times a day, so there's nothing wrong with a bit of the ol' extra-curricular practice...

This is getting silly. This discussion of Tiger Woods is of no relevance to Schumacher. I am slightly disappointed...lol

"What? What's the beef? I was just trying to get my ball back. It's the one I holed for my first major, and I'm very attached to it. Even us pros drop a shot into the lake sometimes. Plus, it's hot and I fancied a swim. It's not my fault there are girls in bikinis standing beside it, and my wife's not here, and I've just signed a sponsorship deal with Durex... wait, what's the matter now? If it was good enough for Alan Jones..."
