Where Alain confirms he had breakfast with Berger that morning, and was informed of Gerhard's plan to run at max turbo boost for the whole race. Because Ferrari's fuel consumption meant Berger was unable to get to the finish. Prost also says that was the reason he let Gerhard passed him so easily as well.
That would be an absolutely brilliant bluff by Gerhard if he were bluffing! (And we know that he could be a joker back in the day!)

Best Race Monaco 2013: It was clear from the moment FP1 started that he was driving rings around the opposition and no one could respond to him at all. This is the perfect example of a dominant weekend
Worst Race Britain 2012: To quote Jamie and Enoch "Anymore Anonymous he'd be a hacktivist"
Yuji Ide
Best Race Australia 2006: He finished the race
Worst Race San Marino 2006: Got his Super license revoked
Ralf Schumacher
Best Race Canada 2001: Beat his brother Fair and square
Worst Race Monaco 2007: It was unbelievable to see him running last on merit
Jenson Button
Best Race Canada 2011: For reasons already explained
Worst Race: Any race which East Londoner thinks it was Bunsen Jetton (Jenson's untalented twin) driving the car (Monaco and Canada 2012 for example)
Monaco 2006. Should have been on the podium instead of Coulthard and he was wearing a race suit in Superman colours. Coulthard only put on a cape for the podium.

best race: Monaco 2005 - found the way very quickly past Alonso on circuit where overtaking is impossible (Canada 2007 is another valid option as he avoided a part-ROTR )
worst race: Japan 2008 - out in Q1, no points while teammate Kubica was fighting for the win
Thought I'd make a case for Monaco 2001 being Eddie Irvines best race
First of all, on a circuit that requires both a large amount of skill and downforce, irvine managed to qualify 6th, in the Jaguar R2, which was far from the best chassis for downforce. Admittedly he wouldn't have finished on the podium without Hakkinen and Half Schumacher retiring, but Irvine was easily able to keep pace with the Williams when it was still running. Then in the latter stages of the race he managed to fend off the advances of Villeneuve, who was fighting to help BAR finish 4th in the WCC at the time
Best Race - Monaco 1977: Proves that his win in Argentina that year was no fluke, by qualifying 2nd, and holding off the might of John Watson, and Niki Lauda to take the win with a car run by a rather low budgeted privateer team. As well as giving the Ford Cosworth DFV it's 100th victory.
Worst Race - Silverstone 1973: His rookie mistake of spinning out caused a massive pileup, taking out 8 drivers of the race, and postponing it for almost an hour. Very fortunate that no one was fatally injured. It was an incident that almost cost his F1 career.

Also all of 1980. Granted the Ferrari was a shitebox but Sheckter was easily outclassed by Gilles Villeneuve who dragged the car to 6 points and as high as 3rd on the grid. Specifically Canada where he DNQ'ed

And this demotivated him so badly that rather than stay at Ferrari he would retire for good.
