With that in mind, is it okay for myself to enter a team just for GT500 as well as running the series? Or is it against the rules?

If it's not against the rules, the team name would be Project Kivasports, running the Nissan 350Z, drivers would be Ryo Michigami and Akira Iida. Both drivers would be paid 2.5 million yen. The car number would be 24.

What do you guys think?

It's cool with me. ;)

Well, as long as you can prove that its stats are not being juiced, that's fine. For example, when I ran TMRRC, I won almost everything, but I had the replays to prove everything was above board and there was no kind of unfair advantage going on.

I guess the reason no-one is running the 350Z is because it couldn't match its rivals often. Nissan didn't win a drivers title with it, but its replacement, the GT-R R35, won in its debut season.

I can run the 350Z. I'll add the rest of the info later.
EDIT
Team Name: Hayate Auto Garage
#46 Nissan 350Z (GT500)
Joao Paulo de Oliveira(BRA)/Takeshi Tsuchiya(JPN)

Oh and like Hound55 and Stramala, I'm also cool with you running a team

Well, the SUPER GT season finally begins at Okayama. This season looks like it's going to be interesting, only two Nissan 350Z's against six NSX's and six Supra's in GT500. Meanwhile, in GT300, it's anybody's guess who's going to win this time around. Can we see the Front-drive Integra Type R or the Mitsubishi EVO win a race? Let's get this season started with the qualifying session!

GT500
1 R. Michigami/A. Iida (Project KivaSport) 1:38.893
2 J. Paulo De Oliverira/T. Tsuchiya (Hayate Auto Garage) 1:38.983
3 D. Ito/R. Lyons (Dynamite Racing Team) 1:38.985
4 M. Salo/K. Hirate (Nippon Nagoya) 1:39.020
5 S. Yamamoto/Y. Tachikawa (ARTA) 1:39.046
6 C. Fittipaldi/S. Nakano (Grand Honshu Racing) 1:39.081
7 O. Beretta/S. Motoyama (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 1:39.126
8 R. Firman/H. Noda (Advan Racing Team) 1:39.176
9 C. Bouchut/T. Takagi (Denso Pulsar Racing) 1:39.233
10 L. Duval/H. Mutoh (Fireball Racing) 1:39.234
11 H. Matsushita/J. Courtney (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) 1:39.336
12 H. Mitsusada/R. Collard (Takagi Racing Enterprises) 1:39.342
13 A. Lotterer/B. Treluyer (Zuken ENEOS IBR) 1:39.448
14 J. Dufour/T. Kaneishi (Castrol Racing Team) 1:39.465

WOW! Just days ago, Nissan was considering quitting SUPER GT because of the lack of teams running their 350Z, until two teams signed on as late entries. Ironically enough, it was Project KivaSport getting the pole position, and the other Nissan team, Hayate Auto Garage managing to lock out the front row for Nissan. Meanwhile, two time KL-racer Alternate DTM champion Beretta, will start 7th for his SUPER GT debut.

GT300
1 Y. Kunimoto/S. Ara (Fireball Racing) 1:43.396
2 T. Scheider/K. Sasaki (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 1:43.591
3 T. Yamano/H. Kurosawa (Dynamite Racing Team) 1:43.814
4 H. Yoshimoto/J.M. Gounon (Xanavi Pulsar Racing) 1:44.034
5 A. Couto/A. Zuber (Nippon Nagoya) 1:44.144
6 H. Matsuda/H.P. Tung (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) 1:44.278
7 N. Hattori/T. Suzuki (Grand Honshu Racing) 1:44.343
8 N. Taniguchi/M. Apicella (MMC IBR) 1:44.793
9 R. Fukuda/N. Fontana (Takagi Racing Enterprises) 1:44.854

Meanwhile, the 2000 KL Racer's Alternate DTM champion, Timo Scheider will start second in GT300 for his SUPER GT debut. Fireball racing got the pole position by almost two tenths. It's kind of disappointing for MMC and Takagi Racing enterprises, they were somewhat off the pace.

Well, here's the round 1 race results from Okayama.

GT500
1 D. Ito/R. Lyons (Dynamite Racing Team) 2:25:11.365
2 O. Beretta/S. Motoyama (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 2:25:26.325
3 J. Paulo De Oliverira/T. Tsuchiya (Hayate Auto Garage) 2:25:44.851
4 C. Bouchut/T. Takagi (Denso Pulsar Racing) 2:26:06.458
5 S. Yamamoto/Y. Tachikawa (ARTA) 2:26:07.850
6 J. Dufour/T. Kaneishi (Castrol Racing Team) 1 lap
R. Firman/H. Noda (Advan Racing Team) DNF lap 68
H. Mitsusada/R. Collard (Takagi Racing Enterprises) DNF lap 60
M. Salo/K. Hirate (Nippon Nagoya) DNF lap 52
C. Fittipaldi/S. Nakano (Grand Honshu Racing) DNF lap 48
L. Duval/H. Mutoh (Fireball Racing) DNF lap 44
A. Lotterer/B. Treluyer (Zuken ENEOS IBR) DNF lap 26
H. Matsushita/J. Courtney (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) DNF lap 20
R. Michigami/A. Iida (Project KivaSport) DNF lap 19
Dynamite Racing team draws first blood for GT500. Equinox-Lamb racing has to settle for a 2nd. The Nissan 350Z of Hayate Auto Garage, rounds out the podium. It's a shock that only six cars finished the race in GT500.
GT300
1 T. Yamano/H. Kurosawa (Dynamite Racing Team) 2:26:52.918
2 A. Couto/A. Zuber (Nippon Nagoya) 2:27:12.959
3 N. Hattori/T. Suzuki (Grand Honshu Racing) 2:27:15.596
4 T. Scheider/K. Sasaki (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 2:27:18.710
5 N. Taniguchi/M. Apicella (MMC IBR) 2:27:31.430
6 H. Matsuda/H.P. Tung (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) 2:27:35.632
Y. Kunimoto/S. Ara (Fireball Racing) DNF lap 68
R. Fukuda/N. Fontana (Takagi Racing Enterprises) DNF lap 48
H. Yoshimoto/J.M. Gounon (Xanavi Pulsar Racing) DNF lap 39
In addition, Dynamite racing team also drew first blood in GT300. Nippon Nagoya finished 2nd and Grand Honshu rounds out the podium. The SUPER GT debut of Timo Scheider didn't go as well as Beretta, but he did get 3 points for finishing 4th. MMC did finish the race in 5th and Panasonic TOM's gets the final point for GT300. Like GT500, only six GT300 cars finished the race.

The Integra is now RWD here. Remember the story of WedsSport Celica '03? Just like that. ;) (Since the Impreza is RWD in SuperGT, I assume the same can be said for Lancer here)

Hiroshi Takagi wrote:Collard literally binned it to the corner where da Silva hit Zimmer when my son Kazuhiko competed in F1RGP2C. And looks like the Integra seems a bit way, yes, too "timid" for this race. :|

(This is non-canon, I know, but let's insert some RWRS World references... shall I?

0.5 on each category on both cars. :)

After some time to assess their performance at Okayama, the SUPER GT series flies to Sepang for Round 2 of the season. Here's the qualifying results

GT500
1 L. Duval/H. Mutoh (Fireball Racing) 1:57.620
2 S. Yamamoto/Y. Tachikawa (ARTA) 1:57.814
3 R. Michigami/A. Iida (Project KivaSport) 1:57.899
4 R. Firman/H. Noda (Advan Racing Team) 1:57.925
5 H. Matsushita/J. Courtney (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) 1:57.979
6 C. Fittipaldi/S. Nakano (Grand Honshu Racing) 1:57.991
7 O. Beretta/S. Motoyama (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 1:57.994
8 M. Salo/K. Hirate (Nippon Nagoya) 1:58.217
9 A. Lotterer/B. Treluyer (Zuken ENEOS IBR) 1:58.271
10 J. Paulo De Oliverira/T. Tsuchiya (Hayate Auto Garage) 1:58.273
11 J. Dufour/T. Kaneishi (Castrol Racing Team) 1:58.380
12 H. Mitsusada/R. Collard (Takagi Racing Enterprises) 1:58.393
13 C. Bouchut/T. Takagi (Denso Pulsar Racing) 1:58.402
14 D. Ito/R. Lyons (Dynamite Racing Team) 1:58.743

Fireball racing got pole position for GT500 by nearly two tenths over the ARTA team. Kivasport ends up qualifying 3rd despite not bringing any upgrades for this race. Dynamite Racing team brings up the rear of the pack no doubt suffered by the success ballast.

GT300
1 Y. Kunimoto/S. Ara (Fireball Racing) 2:01.790
2 T. Scheider/K. Sasaki (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 2:02.347
3 H. Matsuda/H.P. Tung (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) 2:02.873
4 Y. Ide/T. Matsuda (ARTA) 2:02.990
5 H. Yoshimoto/J.M. Gounon (Xanavi Pulsar Racing) 2:03.015
6 N. Taniguchi/M. Apicella (MMC IBR) 2:03.046
7 N. Hattori/T. Suzuki (Grand Honshu Racing) 2:03.364
8 R. Fukuda/N. Fontana (Takagi Racing Enterprises) 2:03.473
9 A. Couto/A. Zuber (Nippon Nagoya) 2:03.734
10 T. Yamano/H. Kurosawa (Dynamite Racing Team) 2:04.198

Fireball racing also got Pole position for GT300, by nearly a six tenth margin over Equinox-Lamb. The ARTA ASL Gariaya ended up qualifying 4th on it's debut and like the GT500 class, Dynamite Racing team brings up the rear due to success ballast.

Well, here's the round 2 race results from Sepang.

GT500
1 L. Duval/H. Mutoh (Fireball Racing) 3:09:58.630
2 H. Mitsusada/R. Collard (Takagi Racing Enterprises) 3:10:10.693
3 A. Lotterer/B. Treluyer (Zuken ENEOS IBR) 3:10:25.527
4 C. Fittipaldi/S. Nakano (Grand Honshu Racing) 3:10:26.825
5 S. Yamamoto/Y. Tachikawa (ARTA) 3:10:42.668
6 O. Beretta/S. Motoyama (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 3:10:49.515
7 M. Salo/K. Hirate (Nippon Nagoya) 3:10:50.860
J. Dufour/T. Kaneishi (Castrol Racing Team) DNF lap 83
H. Matsushita/J. Courtney (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) DNF lap 74
D. Ito/R. Lyons (Dynamite Racing Team) DNF lap 73
C. Bouchut/T. Takagi (Denso Pulsar Racing) DNF lap 51
J. Paulo De Oliverira/T. Tsuchiya (Hayate Auto Garage) DNF lap 21
R. Firman/H. Noda (Advan Racing Team) DNF lap 19
R. Michigami/A. Iida (Project KivaSport) DNF lap 10

Fireball racing got the win from Pole position, but it wasn't easy with Takagi racing and Zuken closing down on their necks. Grand Honshu got 4th, ARTA ended up fifth and Equinox-Lamb got the final point for 6th. Meanwhile, race reliability for Kivasport continues to haunt them, they didn't finish the race again.

GT300
1 T. Scheider/K. Sasaki (Equinox-Lamb Racing) 3:11:52.831
2 Y. Ide/T. Matsuda (ARTA) 3:11:54.384
3 H. Matsuda/H.P. Tung (Panasonic TOM'S Racing) 3:12:12.529
4 H. Yoshimoto/J.M. Gounon (Xanavi Pulsar Racing) 3:12:18.216
5 R. Fukuda/N. Fontana (Takagi Racing Enterprises) 3:12:56.438
T. Yamano/H. Kurosawa (Dynamite Racing Team) DNF lap 81
N. Hattori/T. Suzuki (Grand Honshu Racing) DNF lap 70
N. Taniguchi/M. Apicella (MMC IBR) DNF lap 44
Y. Kunimoto/S. Ara (Fireball Racing) DNF lap 39
A. Couto/A. Zuber (Nippon Nagoya) DNF lap 31

Meanwhile, Equinox-lamb won the race in GT300 spoiling the chance of the ASL Gariaya winning in it's debut race. ARTA finished 2nd, with Panasonic TOM's rounding out the podium. Xanavi Pulsar ended up 4th, with Takagi Racing 5th but Dynamite racing team ended up not finishing the race despite being 6th, so they will not get points or extra success ballast due to them failing to take the checkered flag.
