Fiction stranger then truth?
I was reading Lieapedia and notice this in the Formula One 2010 season history...
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit ... =314681173
Maybe there was some truth in the rumour of the F1 Rejects team

That really is strange. But then again it is Wikipedia...

The source is cited as a "Life Engineering press release"... oh man. Thank you to whoever did this.

Brilliant
Well, that makes up for them having deleted their article on us entirely!!

Re: Fiction stranger then truth?
I once made up a Vanuatu GP won by HWNSNBM on wikipedia, but I didn't do that: that's genius and thank you very much to whoever did that.
Re: Fiction stranger then truth?
I'd be willing to guess SuperAguri did this who else would know to go to that exact edit but the guy who did it...
Anyway, whoever did it, thanks, made me LOL as we're meant to say on this internet thing.

Better than 'Tour in a suit case' Takagi.

+1
I see the most recently updated page has the details about the F1 Rejects Life team removed. What, you mean people are deeming that to not have been serious, accurate information?

Though strangely, HWNSNBM's wikipedia page still has the F1 Rejects section in it!

The history says that it was edited by a "ChicosBailBonds" wonder who that could be...

Has to be someone that liked "Bad News Bears". That rules me out.

Re: Fiction stranger then truth?
I put the F1 rejects thing on his profile at the weekend (I'm Swca92 on wikipedia). Some guy put in the Lord Voldemort reference, but I did the rest. I didn't post this immediately as I thought it would be better for people to discover it rather than have me blowing a metaphorical trumpet on this forum

Thanks to new info by Debaser, ChicosBailBonds (supposedly) added the part about Voldy. Stand up please, we just want to give you pat on the back and maybe a beer. And Wikipedia has added a message to the 2010 season page that states not to add information without reliable sources or they'll put it under official watch. What? You don't appreciate hilarious (but slightly false) rumors about F1 Rejects!

Re: Fiction stranger then truth?
Wasn't me. I've written to the boys about the F1 Rejects entry, until it was taken down for being "not notable," but this wasn't me.
Re: Fiction stranger then truth?
The change was made by a user with IP address 115.43.254.230, which resolves to someone in Taiwan. Check it at http://remote.12dt.com/lookup.php .
Re: Fiction stranger then truth?
I did an F1 Rejects page in March and was taken down by "Toytown Mafia" for not being notable. They don't have a sense of humour do they???

Don't expose your sources... unless Enoch subpoenas you.
