The next podcast (Europe + Belgium)

Post by CarlosFerreira »

I've found myself wondering what the title for the next podcast will be. It will cover the European GP, in Valencia, and the Belgium GP.

So, it'll either be the Eur-opium of the Val-ium.

Either way, amusement is assured from the very beginning.

Val-ium would be pretty fitting for the Valencia race...

Why? He's simply clawing his way into rejectdom legend. All he needs is to punt half the field into the wall in the first lap in Spa.

I like valium. Particularly if the Spa race is boring, and given that it's not going to rain, it probably will (as nearly every F1 race on the dry is, in case you've forgot it; I don't love the Valencia circuit, but I find the bashing of the track a bit too much, we've got the overtaking problem everywhere)

I was saying depreciation in the sense that he is less valuable/good now than he used to be.

It can only be the Belgiopean edition. The Euroian edition sounds somewhat like it would have escaped from the screening of Star Trek.

On the topic of the next podcast, we're not sure when we will be able to record it.

I was in the middle of holidays with my family during the European Grand Prix, and watched it in my motel room whilst "on the road". That's why there has been no (and probably won't be a) written European GP review.

I came back in time for Belgium, however on the last few days of my trip I contracted a very nasty eye infection, which has left me bedridden for the time being.

So at this stage, sadly there is no ETA for the Belgian GP review or the [insert name of combined name for 'European' and 'Belgian'] podcast. :(

Thanks everyone for your understanding.

Goodness ouches. Get well faster than the Williams FW14B, Enoch. In all seriousness, get well soon.

The Valium edition would be better suited to the European Grand Prix, but it would wear off come the Belgian GP.

You don't need your eyes for a podcast... just your voice. Unless Jamie is that inept.

Get well soon; you never know how much you use your vision until it's gone.

Here's yet another get well message to the site author and senior Grand Prix analyst EYTL.

Somebody please read it out to him via skype if necessary, so he can keep his eyes closed for a full and speedy recovery.

Thank you Enoch for letting us know about the state of things. I only wish there would have been better news, like for example, another new baby having been born, but as things are the way they are, get well and let's hear from you next time around. May your sorrows all be small.

Can I offer the name Valspanza for consideration if the podcast doesn't happen before Monza or Valspanzapore if we have to wait until Singapore.

Or even Melpurhaikhirunyalostonering Budenciachamponzapore Suzsaoyas to roll the season into one whole podcast.

Hope your well Enoch.

I hope the infection wasn't caused by watching Badoer's disappointing perfomance at Valencia. Get well soon, sir.

Maybe you could get back to fitness using the practice start regimen of Satoru Nakajima:

First sit yourself up in bed, legs outstretched, grip your pillow firmly in both hands, jam your right foot sharply down and shout " Bansai!"

Luckily this action is usually performed with eyes tight shut.

Hoping for your speedy recovery.

Get well soon, eytl. An eye infection is a disaster for any web-based project. Don't worry, we'll still be here when the next podcast is ready.

I still reckon the next podcast will arrive before I have a working sound card...
