RIP Guy Ligier

Post by Miguel98 »

It seems one our heroes, Guy Ligier, has passed away at the age of 85. :(

We'll be fine. It's Canon, non Kodak.

Sad news indeed. Definitely one of the more enduring names among rejects. Not many went on to have the success he achieved in F1 and he will definitely be missed.

RIP Guy Ligier.

RIP Guy, i enjoyed running your team and legacy in the alternative universe once in a while.

A special character, not liked by everybody, but certainly made his mark on the sport.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

RIP Guy. Respected team manager and person, probably one of the top the sport has ever seen.

A bit of a maverick but in a more understated way than some of the others. RIP Guy.

Bit of a legend, R.I.P.

Despite being French, Ligier was always a team you wanted to see do ok. He's certainly given F1 numerous memorable moments.

His will also be remembered as well for his name being mentioned in Grand Prix during the "1966 Belgian Grand Prix." In fact, I think he was in the background in the drivers meeting scene of the film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjq9x_gccMY

I always want/wanted to see French Teams do well, but especially Ligier.

Yeah, I think that's him in the background on James Garner's left.
