It was supposed to be Specific Grand Prix, but Keith Wiggins exhibited incorrect diction when making his entry applications.

Actually, no, not that.

Did he remember to engage the time circuits? Did he have enough plutonium or a Mr Fusion? Did he even manage to get upto 88 mph?

Judging by his performance at Adelaide, I doubt it...

Surely the most Deletraz thing to do in a kayak is to attempt to complete the course in the wrong direction? And then find out you've turned up to the wrong course

And what is Délétraz doing? He is not smart enough to see a 2 meter drop is impossible to paddle up?

The fact he never knew what he was doing in a racing car (or did he  ) shows that he is not very capable of keeping good balance ;)

Just make sure you do something in your kayak that Murray Walker doesn't fully understand. That can't be that hard?

On the subject of Pacific, I've just noticed that last week's issue of Autosport features an interview with Oliver Gavin. Most of it covers his current role as a works Corvette driver, but there is also a sidebar on his almost-F1 adventures with Pacific. I'll scan it when I next have the chance.

I have always wondered where it came from as well. I loved the 94 car - well the colour scheme anyway. And the 95 car with the platypus nose was distinctive.

They seemed to be a team that never got a break. There was the Black Death sponsorship deal, which has got it's own thread on here and then there is this:

http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns00008.html

What might have been! Salo in a Pacific. He was awesome in his early outings for Tyrell that year. Bet he's glad he didn't have to drive for them though!

It's worth having a flick through grandprix.com, the news archive goes back to 1995 and this interview with Wiggins is from 1992.
