RIP Mo Nunn

Post by Londoner »

Sad news broke today that Morris "Mo" Nunn has passed away at the age of 79. Nunn was responsible for running the Ensign team in Formula One, who were very much the Minardi of the 70s and early 80s, the ultimate underdogs on the grid.

After his F1 adventure ended in 1982, Nunn would go on to achieve huge success Stateside in CART and IRL for the best part of 25 years, engineering Emerson Fittipaldi to the 1989 CART title and Indy 500 glory, whilst also being the brains behind Target Chip Ganassi's ascent to four straight CART titles in the late 90s.

RIP Mo, 1938-2018. :(
