Isn't specific heat capacity J/Kg.K? I mean, J/Kg/K would be JK/Kg, no?

The energy-heat equation is E = mc(theta), where E is the enthalpy of the system, m is the mass, c is the specific heat capacity and theta is the change in temperature (which can be either centigrade or kelvin, the scale's the same) so rearranging to make c the subject gives c = E/m(theta), which is J/g.K.

Unless of course, we're on about two separate things...then ignore me!

To eliminate any confusion, that's why negative indices were introduced.

Hence the units you'd really want are J kg^(-1) K^(-1) which would be a lot clearer if I could use superscripts here...

Add mine as well to the list: 26th of April 2000, the 6th birthday of Daniil Kvyat, the 14th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, and the 63rd anniversary of the Guernica Bombing. Sums me up quite frankly. :P

I watch a lot of motorsport in general, mainly F1, IndyCar, and NASCAR. And my avatar refers to my username, a Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot of the Czech Air Force with the tail code 9013. And yes I am into explosions. Hell, I have a model tank collection. :P

Wait, he was 9 when he joined? Lolwut? That makes him 12 today! Hahaha, and I thought he was like 46 because of the 68 in his name. :D

First time I saw the acronym, 'NSFM', it was on this forum, and I kinda figured it out, but accidently thought it meant, 'Not Suitable For Metcalfe.' As if it was an acronym for a particular person because of his young age...

Time to add myself in…8th December 1997. The day the original Bozo the Clown died. I like to think I'm his reincarnation if that's the case.
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

But okay, I am younger than the site, I accept that. How old is the site again?

15 years, I believe. It was set up in 1999(?)
