Re: 2017 Australian Grand Prix - Reject of the Race
Easy for me, and for once I won't take the opportunity to nominate Palmer (at least he had a bit of an excuse) 1. Kevin Magnussen - absolutely no reason for him to have been so far off of the pace of Grosjean (who admittedly was fantastic), he had all of the same chances as him. Look who he outquali...

Re: 2017 Australian Grand Prix - IIDOTR
Lots of great drives, really difficult to decide between them. But I gotta. 1. Romain Grosjean - I think he was the driver who outperformed his car the most. So unfortunate that he had to retire. 2. Antonio Giovinazzi - Purely for jumping into one of the two slowest teams on the grid at the last min...

Re: The 2017 Australian Grand Prix Thread
It wasn't a stellar race but it did feature something we haven't seen for a while, a battle (albeit in the pit-lane) for the win between 2 cars from different constructors . What's exciting about this is there will be tracks where the Mercedes is better than the Ferrari and vice versa. It also means...

Re: The 2017 Australian Grand Prix Thread
Pretty hopeful for the race, first time in a while that we might have a championship battle between 2 different constructors. Still expect Hamilton to take the win but hopefully Vettel and Bottas can have a good scrap. And anyway, we know from last year that anything can happen off of the start line...

I'm quite enjoying this. When you the to the '70s, will you include the AFX series? Mercedes look a long way ahead of the pack at the moment, in my opinion. This'll be the first season where half the entries in every race score points. Even in ten-team 2009, you had worse chances. Even at Imola in 1982, you had worse chances. Yes - as Watka says - Monaco was impossible to drive nicely as the steering was rubbish . F1 98 was a big step backwards from 97. Formula 1 '98 was the first Formula 1 game I bought on PS1 and it put me off F1 games for a long time. As you say, the understeer made the cars absolute dogs, I'd have to go for a high downforce set up everywhere.
