Re: 2015 Australian GP ROTR Thread

Can't but agree with the choice. If other criteria had been considered (poor reliability, injuries and/or rejectful external circumstances of all sorts), there would have probably been way too many names for the ROTR. On the other side of it, proposing the weekend as a whole for this award, as I did...

Not sure about that, but I suspect he should be there due to his poor chequered flag-wawing performance at the 2002 Brazilian GP, as he completely missed the Schumacher brothers crossing the finish line.

Ok, thanks Then: Scuderia Adriatica's entry for the British and Italian GPs: Driver : Lucien Bianchi; Car : Ambrosiana A-002 Chassis 2, Ferrari engine. Are Scuderia Adriatica's deals concerning driver and car already valid?

If so (and if it's still possible), we would like to enter Lucien Bianchi and our Ambrosiana-Ferrari chassis-engine combination in the British and Italian GPs.

A street circuit in Luanda, Angola, one of Africa's emerging powers. The final straight offers enough space for the pits, while the nearby port can easily host the paddock.

Re: 2015 Australian GP ROTR Thread

It's probably the first time so few cars start a Formula 1 race without anyone actually boycotting it. (See Indianapolis 2005 or Imola 1982.) Therefore I find the race weekend as a whole should be awarded the ROTR title. It's not, but you have to go back to the 1950s and 1960s for that. One example...

I would award the IIDOR to the Ferrari power units. Closing the gap with the Mercedes PUs is probably as easy as qualyfing a Life on pole while driving blindfolded, but they're surely better than last year.

Just a little disclaimer at first: those are drivers I especially root for or drivers I'm not so keen on. But I don't really "dislike" any drivers (with kinda few exceptions): my take on it is, they are in the top tier of motor racing, they can't but be among the best. Plus, I don't like (...

What if Lola hadn't been forced by sponsorship reasons to rush the development of its Formula 1 project in order to (try to) take part in the 1997 season, taking instead the necessary time to complete a competitive 1998 car?

Fulvio Maria Ballabio was expected to race for Spirit in 1984 alongside Fittipaldi (who had then refused to race for the team). He was denied the superlicence though and replaced by fellow Italian Mauro Baldi. The funny thing was that his sponsorship money came from Disney . He also appeared in a D...
