I took chance on this. Wow, I didn't think anyone would actually sit down and work it out. I'm impressed. Well: six drivers posted a car-breaking time during Valencia race. Rosberg on lap 14 Buemi on lap 16 Nakajima on lap 17 Fisichella on lap 21 Räikkönen on lap 42 Glock on lap 44 Now that's a sen...

Oh yes, he was dreadful when being lapped. I recall the 1995 San Marino GP where he got in the way of several leaders. Don't forget the 1996 Monaco GP where he took out Jacques Villeneuve at Mirebeau in a shocking piece of driving. Both Martini and Badoer were equally bad at the 1995 San Marino Gra...

I think Osella still exist in some shape or form as well, so perhaps they should get together with Fondmetal again and bring back some good old 1980s/early 90s nostalgia.

Zanardi's 1999 performances for Williams really were shockingly bad most of the time weren't they? I had forgotten that Badoer overtook him in that race, thanks for making a Minardi and Badoer fan very happy :) .

Re: Should Ferrari have given the drive to Gene?

I think Badoer will do a better job at Spa too. He should make it into Q2 there in my opinion, but he will probably still be a midfield runner, but I think he will be more on the pace than he was in Valencia. Should they have given Gené the drive? For this race, maybe, but it would have been for com...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Valencia!

I don't think Badoer should get the reject of the race award (see my comments in other threads for my reasons). I would award it to both the Valencia track, which is truly awful in my opinion (again see my comments in the Valencia race thread for more details), and Jonathan Legard, for trying to con...

Worst case scenario for me would be him getting rammed from behind on the first corner by newcomer Grosjean Which is exactly what happened, only not at the first corner. Re: 2009 European Grand Prix Discussion

I think Luca Badoer does deserve a second chance. His race pace was more impressive, and he not been bundled into a spin by Grosjean after his good start, he could have finished a bit higher up, so I think it's worth giving him a run at a track he knows (i.e. Spa), in order to see how he goes there....

Well, if Ferrari fans are angry about that, I wonder what they made of Schecker's failure to qualify in 1980? Re: Run-off areas: yes or no?

Valencia is a prime example, in my opinion, of why all this tarmac doesn't work. If there were gravel in some of those huge run off areas, drivers would actually be punished if they made errors, whereas at the moment, they can just get out of jail free, which isn't right in my view. Obviously, at Va...

Best Drive by an F1 Reject

Out of all the drivers who qualify for reject status, there are some who, in spite of their lack of success, have had their day or days in the sun, so which F1 rejects have had one or more good races, yet gone unrewarded, in your opinion. I'll start with the obvious by picking Luca Badoer, since he ...

One thing I've learnt from watching today's practice sessions (the first time ever for me) - they're BORING! I watched practice this morning, and I wouldn't say Luca looked that comfortable in the Ferrari, so I don't think he's got it working as he would like yet. I'm really pleased to read that piece of news, since having no certainty of continuing after Valencia would have generated a lot of unnecessary pressure. I'm pleased to see the back of refuelling.
