You have to believe that Hamilton will get at least one podium in one of the remaining 3 races, which then means one of the top 3 will be disadvantaged by McLaren at least one time. I can't see the Mclaren being competitive enough to be racing Red Bull for wins, Hamilton has been known to pick one o...

Re: When No.2 drivers come good

I would say a younger driver coming into a team which is retaining the other from the previous year would be seen as a number 2 driver by default, for their 1st year in the team at least. If they can compete well with a car that has possibly been developed around another driver, or is upgraded durin...

When No.2 drivers come good

In relation to Mark Webber's run at this year's title, I thought I'd raise a discussion topic, that of when drivers who are perceived as being a team's Number Two driver at the start of the year end up performing better than the main driver, to the extent of having a serious shot at the WDC. From re...

I would suggest Toyota from, well, pick a year, any year! They could never attract a real top line driver, though I'm sure Ralf, Trulli and Glock are good drivers, you wouldn't say they are the best of the best, and if they were able to get podiums, imagine what an Alonso, Hamilton or Kubica may hav...

I agree that Henrique's definitition is pretty much spot on. You could also put it that a pay driver is someone who brings more financial benefit to the team than on-track benefit. Without sponsorship / endorsements at some stage of their career I don't think any driver or team could really make it ...

It's just ridiculous. What about teams that doesn't score podiums yet finish regularly in points-scoring positions?
