Nearly a repeat of Hill/Schumacher in 1994 on the last lap at exactly the same place as well.

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Season - 2009

1) Nico Rosberg - for some time I believed he had been brought into F1 on the strength of his name. This season I have been proved wrong.
2) Kamui Kobayashi - at first, just a substitute, but he injected more excitement and interest than I think anyone else has in 2009.

Re: Name the rejects!

But the likes of Bartels, Amati, Langes and Chaves are there, so Bertaggia surely should be. (Edit: I get what you mean now - as in he never actually drove in a GP weekend.)

I got 51/77 - Marques and Rosset were among those I didn't get, and I also spelt Sebastien wrong for Buemi and Bourdais.

That's the first time I've seen that one at full speed  - the BBC coverage only picked up the aftermath with an unidentifiable car poking out of the tyres IIRC.

Re: Your F1 History

I apparently began watching F1 as a two-year old in 1988! My lasting memory of those early years, for some reason, is the grid lineup graphics at the start of each race (for example - m ) and apprently even then I could name most of the cars and drivers! I started seriously getting into motorsport a...

Re: Most Forgettable Drivers

I remember seeing Philippe Adams winning races in an Audi in the Belgian ProCar series in the mid-90s, but haven't heard of him since.

As for Martini, while he was leading his lap wasn't Nigel Mansell reversing having missed his pit box and being disqualified, meaning that nobody saw it?

Re: Most Forgettable Drivers

Most forgettable drivers for me have to be Ralph Firman and Enrique Bernoldi, who I only ever really remember racing in Formula 3. Likewise Luciano Burti, who would fit into the same bracket had he not had so many huge smashes! Most forgettable team has to be Midland F1 - I couldn't name anyone who ...
