Re: 2013 Silly Season Thread

I'm personally quite glad to see Timo gone, if this is the case, as he's given the impression that he just doesn't care anymore. One fantastic performance in THREE years is a dreadful return, in contrast with Heikki at Caterham, who gave it his all in 2010 and 2011. I agree. Presumably this opens t...

Anhtony Davidson in BAR, somebody? Yes. He only raced at the 2005 Malaysian GP subbing in for Takuma Sato, and his engine blew after a few laps. Mind you, this was in the wake of BAR withdrawing from the Australian GP in the dying stages of the race to preserve their engines I didn't remember it. W...

Welcome to Finland, it's currently a pleasant -16 Celsius outside. I too had -16 this morning. My car was a little bit stubborn when I tried to start the engine, but it came alive after a while. It's nothing, though, compared to when I was going home from work two years ago. The temp said -27 when ...

Hi guys. My name's Andrew, I'm 16, I live in England and I'm a big fan of F1. I read 1 Rejects a lot, as I think the late 80's- early 90's were a great time for F1, with some of the best cars and drivers (even though I wasn't alive to see it). This sight is also useful for finding out about the les...

And if we were, he would likely be called a Lucky Bastard. I don't think so. The Lucky Bastard award is for drivers who certainly didn't deserve unrejectification (Danner, Karthikeyan). Certainly Badoer deserved. I'm wondering what would have happened if Ferrari had chosen him to replace Schumacher...

I don't think Gerhard Berger's reason for his crash during qualifying at Monza 1993 has been mentioned here yet. Appartently Berger crashed because his Ferrari teammate Alesi had just secured 3rd on the grid and spent a lap waving to the crowd. Unaware that Berger on one last banzai lap was closing...
