Re: 2021 IMSA SportsCar Championship (and Tesla Cup testing)

To answer a question from one of our owners: If you are competing in GTD, the default is using cars and engines from the same company - that's how you can get sponsorship from the company, after all. However, since there are third-party engine manufacturers and the possibility of building your own e...

The Google sheet has been updated with sponsor information. A manufacturer sponsor can cover a full team, whether that be one or two cars. A brand sponsor can only cover one team. Feel free to suggest your own sponsorships, especially if you have a driver who brings sponsorship. We'll now begin pick...

Re: The Alessandro Zanardi IndyCar Thread

Jimmie Johnson in the rain was even worse than I feared. I'm sure he's having fun and he will probably do well in the 500, but I don't understand a seven-time NASCAR champ deciding to run street and road courses in IndyCar when he wasn't any good at them when he had the best equipment on the track.

Scuderia DePaolo Votes: 1. In light of the fatality of famous Pietro Bordino, should there be a maximum amount of qualifiers for any given race in the future? b) No - simply let everyone race who enters! Without traffic, there is no racing. 2. Due to the growing amount of participants in the World ...

Re: 2021 IMSA SportsCar Championship (and Tesla Cup testing)

I am interested in fielding both a GTP or GTD/eGT team, with first preference to GTP. If there are not enough entries I can run a GTD or eGT team as well. I propose for Miami-based Kronstadt Technology Team to make the jump to the new GTP format. The team, a part of the German conglomerate Kronstad...

Re: 2021 IMSA SportsCar Championship (and Tesla Cup testing)

Budgets The starting budget for a Prototype (GTP) team will be $500 per car. For Grand Touring Daytona (GTD), it will be $400 per car. For Electric Grand Touring (eGT), it will be $500 - but remember while GTP and GTD need one car per team, eGT needs one car per driver. That's two for a three-hour ...

However, their show was stolen by a special guest. France and Penske were at the Indianapolis...

We (still) have an issue with the wiki not sending out confirmation emails for new accounts, so until that is fixed I'm keeping all account requests on hold. Bronze: Lotus, for going from a race-winning team to one excited because they made it to the halfway point before blowing up. They couldn't even get the Pastor on track for qualifying. Silver: Kimi Raikkonen. Kimi, the fact that the track has a Corner 10 usually means there is also a Corner 9. At so...

No Vettel hate here - that was just an amazing drive by Ricciardo on the intermediates, plus you've got both Magnussen and Kvyat starting near the front of the grid.

And a Caterham starting on the back bumper of a Red Bull.

Daniel Ricciardo just crushed Sebastian Vettel in qualifying. He's in row 1 with Seb in 13th. Magnussen was much better than Button. This season is going to be fun.

I'm going to nominate the Associated Press news agency, for falsely reporting that Massa's injury was life-threatening. Although in intensive care, Massa is stable, and there has been no indication that his life was seriously in danger the way AP made it out to be. As such, for letting the fox into...
