Re: 2023 Discussion Thread
Before the current era, what was the last "real" price paid for an existing team? Racing Point buying Force India out of receivership? How much was that? For a more successful team, probably Mercedes GP buying Brawn. How much was that? Brawn bought the Honda team for a tidy £1, didn't he?...

Koopra Sport has good and bad news! After a last-minute entry to the championship, the team are now facing the problem that Morton Koopa has pulled out of the team in protest to the way he was treated in contract duties. The Koopaling brother evidently believes he could do better elsewhere, and it h...

Antonio Giovinazzi or Kevin Magnussen getting a fastest lap point is bad for franchise value, so they are discouraged from doing it by being denied plebian FL points. Only the patricians in the top 3 teams are allowed to set fastest laps, so that when the sponsor-ridden advert comes up to announce w...

Over the weekend, we had more driver signings, such as when Koopra Kids hired young Koopa talents such as team owner Iggy Koopa , and 37-year-old Conker T. Squirrel . We also had the first pre-season test held at the classic Mario Raceway, a track not used since the 2002 team. Four teams were absent...

And now for the awards: Reject of the Year has to by default go to Peasley Beanbean . It was a super close championship between the Red Bulls and the Ferraris, with Vettel taking an early lead and, as always, never relinquishing it. Alonso got tantalisingly close by the end of the year but it wasn't enough to overhaul the Red Bull. The Mercedes were either off or on, there was no mid...

Five second time penalties - penalising drivers, especially world champions, is terrible for franchise value. Best to give penalties that have no consequences and can easily be nullified.
