Re: MasterCard Lola
While we're on the subject of Lola, there was a rumour of a US-based Lola-Ford team for 1993, to which Michael Andretti was linked. https://f1since81.wordpress.com/2017/11/06/1992-monaco-grand-prix/ I'm going to have to look into this a bit more when I have the time. I didn't see this when I did my...

This, although this also got a ROTR nomination from me.noiceinmydrink wrote: ↑24 Mar 2024, 08:45 It can only be Max Verstappen's rear brake for giving us a result F1 really needed.
Sainz, for obvious reasons.
Then Haas and Tsunoda for capitalising on the DNFs of Verstappen, Russell and Hamilton.

Whatever happened between Alonso and Bottas at the end of the Race.

So happy to see Sam Bird win again. I was hoping he could pull it off, but equally concerned that it would all go wrong as it has several times over the past few years. But the last few laps, I would have been happy for him to have come second, would have been his best result since 2022. Great move ...

Prompted by a post from this weekend's GP - is Charles le Clerc any good? He's better than most people on this planet. He's better than Al Pease or Yuji Ide. Just watched the race highlights on the Formula One YouTube channel. They showed Bottas having a 52 second pit stop, but showed nothing as to why Sargeant finished so far behind Bottas. That’s rejectful in itself if you ask me.

F1 team names as backronyms
A backronym is treating a regular word or name as if it were already an acronym, even though it isn’t really. For example: Fast, Exciting Racing? Rarely! Aerodynamics’s Rarely Innovative.
